Just at me coward. And yes, that’s 100% true. Storm wasn’t really relevant until the 90s XMen comics and legendary 80 comic run. Black Panther was relevant since the fukking 60s. How many people even knew Blade was a Marvel character when the movies came out? Blade was successful as a movie. You’re pretty much just saying movies make these guys bigger, which I’d agree to an extent bc it’s a bigger medium

This is not even debatable, y’all on some other shyt rn
:russ: Are you ok bruh?

In the 90s, Blade was THE black superhero. That still holds true all the way up to Black Panther 1.

Marvel was going BANKRUPT because no one gave a fukk about their characters or comics. That’s why Sony got Spider-Man. They were slanging heroes like dime bags.
In the 90s. No one gave a shyt about Blade before those movies. People knew BP for decades. He has made appearances in different media since before a lot of y’all were even born.

Storm was known from the X-Men the Animated Series. Also, everybody* knew Storm because of Halle Berry.
Read my previous reply. I addressed this already. Those Fox movies were ass and not solid representations.

I wish we’d stay on topic though. Y’all ADD ass nikkas turned the entire thread into a whole different thing that I didn’t even intend :mjlol:

Cap, BP, Thor, Hulk, etc worked bc they had clout in comic nerds and casuals

@Lonj am I crazy breh? This is wild it’s gotten to this point

Halle Berry was an A-List star and people know she played Storm.
Its amazing how you're playing fast and loose with these characters' popularity.
Somehow people knew black panther based on a cameo in a cartoon, but people didn't know Storm who was a main character in the same cartoon and she was played by a woman who is an A-List Celebrity in live Action?

I didn’t say any of that tbh. Where did I say no one knew Storm? Quote it. I just said those movies sucked. Which they did. You’re arguing with a point I never made.

They should've just went straight into X-Men

Thay would have been good. But they legally weren't allowed to do anything on screen with the X Men until post 2019 because of the Fox deal still finalising.

And they had already planned out the latest Kang saga. So the best they could do was that Professor X cameo in MoM and the stuff in the Marvel's. Deadpool 3 is a farewell to the Fox X Men then Marvel can start on their own versions.

First announced on December 14, 2017, Disney's acquisition of Fox and all its assets concluded on March 20, 2019. However, not only was Marvel unable to materialize any MCU X-Men introduction plans — the studio couldn't even start to outline any basic ideas involving Fox's former properties until all the legal minutiae were settled. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige could only tease the mutants' eventual arrival at San Diego Comic Con 2019, and plans for the MCU's next three Phases after the Infinity Saga needed to move ahead with characters and stories that didn't explicitly involve the X-Men.

But with the results this weekend I could see X Men getting fast tracked. But if Marvel stuck to their current projects looking at the timeline we'd maybe be seeing a new X Men movie in 2028

Black Panther was not known like that. Whatever popularity he had was completely gone by the very late 80s/early 90s when I started reading comics.

I don't act like anything because I don't give a fukk what them nikkas saying:manny: especially if I'm confident in my points

Black men are the only ones always terrified of having opinion when they think someone they don't align with might have the same opinion

Most of y'all wouldn't admit the sky is blue under the right conditions
Most Black men are raised as boys to be pleasers. Always making sure their opinions fit the masses and aren't deviating from what a Black man was defined as by white theory

They really made him a damn space janitor and gave him an ugly frumpy hoe as a final insult. No Jedi no main girl, literally fell to a side character during the first movie :mjlol:
Showed that nikka with a lightsaber to get us hype and nikka ended up a space Uber driver

30+ year old males are the main superhero comic readers. That's why you see so much anger in that space online because Marvel or DC is trying to branch out and women, children, gay, and multi cultural readers. That reader base they are trying to gain fukk with manga, and I don't blame them.
Manga(if anything) is more “riske”. The Japanese market has always been wilder than American sensibilities and not for kids. The American comic market and super hero movies have always been for kids. Comic books have always been for kids. The camp nature of the live action material(DC Batman shows in particular), have historically, always been aimed towards kids. The fox marvel cartoon block was aimed at kids. As were their toys built by bendai and mattell. Adults were included, as marvel became darker and started basing their storyline alongside real life world events. But that wasn’t meant to cede total aim towards an adult audience. Kids should always be in mind when making these movies.
