Next you're gonna tell me the world has never heard of Nimrod, I don't think you know how influential he is

let me leave this here

:troll:

You clearly know of him, you brought him up :heh:

But I’ll let you figure out why this was an asinine attempt at disproving any of my points

:russ: Nobody’s saying that those characters weren’t out there. People who was reading the comics, watching the cartoons, or playing the games you was in the know. The people outside of them spaces most definitely didn’t know who the black panther was. Before the mcu the only marvel characters that the mainstream knew by hard was Wolverine, Hulk, and Spider-Man lol.
That’s who the movies are catered to :dahell:

The success is built off the backs of these people. Why is everyone in here acting so fukking stupid? Act surprised your shyt bombs when you stop catering to the core audiences :what: (what’s the Jackie Chan emoji again? lol)

Perfect description of your responses in here. I don’t even think you really know what you’re disagreeing with.

“Only people who heard of these characters knew of these characters! No one else who didn’t know them know of them:damn::russ:

:russ:People in this thread actually thinks before the mcu. That The Black Panther was more popular/known in the mainstream than Blade and Storm lol.
Just at me coward. And yes, that’s 100% true. Storm wasn’t really relevant until the 90s XMen comics and legendary 80 comic run. Black Panther was relevant since the fukking 60s. How many people even knew Blade was a Marvel character when the movies came out? Blade was successful as a movie. You’re pretty much just saying movies make these guys bigger, which I’d agree to an extent bc it’s a bigger medium. But my whole point was the core audiences that made the MCU poppin knew the original heroes very well

This is not even debatable, y’all on some other shyt rn

They fumbled it because they got greedy. Wasn’t good enough just to have guys talking about their films they started catering to kids and women.

Ant man should have been a 15min scene.

Black Panther should have been recast.

Who gave a fukk about the Eternals and then you make the black dude gay?

Shang Chi? Of all marvel characters? Oh you thought t Asians was gonna support? Nah they like seeing white heroes. Know your audience.:dead:ether!!

Deadpool is the only marvel movie I’m waiting for.

Before the black panther movie I can assure you the general public knew storm more than Black panther.

Why would you say that? Let’s talk about it. Because the same ppl who knew Storm would know of BP. They appeared in the same spaces.

The popularity of the 90’s x men cartoon, X men movies in the early 00’s.
Exactly! Which btw BP appeared in. Y’all saying the same shyt I’m saying. BP had cameos in all those shows. He wasn’t unknown. What are we disagreeing on? I never even pitted popularities, I just said he wasnt some unknown entity.

The entire premise of my responses has been the draws to the movies lately aren’t hitting bc the characters being used SUCK! They weren’t even in the cartoons like that

Blade had more clout than BP? :dwillhuh:
In the 90s, Blade was THE black superhero. That still holds true all the way up to Black Panther 1.

Marvel was going BANKRUPT because no one gave a fukk about their characters or comics. That’s why Sony got Spider-Man. They were slanging heroes like dime bags.

Until the MCU, DC was killing the game. Superman, Batman, Flash and all that shyt. Those were well known. Black Panther? :mjlol:
