He should’ve tried it earlier like y’all are saying but Justin’s takedown defense is the best in the division. Idk if that’s why he didn’t earlier or if it was pride or that dumbass Just Bleed mentality
That’s what intrigues me so much about this Khabib fight. This new version of Gaethje that can box a little bit, with power, leg kicks and great takedown defense.

Right. I was just exaggerating but I don't think that narrative has done them any good. They start to rely on that too much and then some nights you'll fight someone who can keep up and won't stop punishing you. What good is being able to go 5 rounds, when you've taken 100 shots to the head and you lack the focus in the last round to finish

I think Tony may have tried mixing it up if that uppercut hadn't dropped Justin too.
Dude was fighting on autopilot after the 3rd was over though. And with his legs scrambled, I doubt he could've got a take down even if he wanted to... Tony was still landing shots standing up. He just lost every exchange and the margin widened as the fight went on.
