Oh my damnyou got that vitamin D milk?
You don't say. I never said otherwise.
"I wonder if the COVID scaredy cats will acknowledge the study."
There’s a dollar store down the way from me - they carry a Calcium 600+D3 vitamin. No difference between this and the $25 dollar bottles of similar on Amazon. People are just not aware bc of course the pharmaceuticals don’t have any incentive to. This right here:Any drug store brand will do in a pinch, i guess, but you gotta make sure its d *3*.
The sun is one of the best sources of vitamin D
Very few foods contain significant amounts of vitamin D, so people can ensure they get enough of the vitamin by scheduling regular time outdoors.
However, if you have pale skin, this puts you at a very high risk for skin cancer.
You're referring to the people who claimed vitamins would cure COVID?
No. The information has not changed since the beginning. Being healthier =/= COVID-proof. Having a well-rounded diet and ensuring you get all of your vitamins makes you less likely to suffer the ill effects or die from the disease than a person who is vitamin deficient or otherwise ill.
You can't "boost" your immune system beyond a basic level.
Social distancing did not mean staying inside the house.
Scientists have been saying long before the COVID pandemic started that Black people in the U.S. are at a higher risk of death and complications from common illnesses as well as pandemics.
The Black countries that did better than the U.S. also implemented a variety of social-distancing measures, contact tracing, quarantine, and other health measures.
Yup. I personally try to save where i can so i can splurge on the expensive stuff. A good multi is not cheap. There’s a dollar store down the way from me - they carry a Calcium 600+D3 vitamin. I get medical, breh. I ain't playing with them crackers (up here or down there). We close.
It’s decriminalized now so as long as you got less than an ounce on you it’s only a $25 ticket.
DC is legal so most of us just drive up there and cop an oz.
I'm not disagreeing with that at all. I think that's entirely true. Better diets, better lifestyles, less environmental pollution, and more exercise will absolutely produce better results. I don't want the open fact that countries who performed better were also quicker to implement social safety measures, have more horizontal health systems, have less intra-national travel, and were more likely to socially distance/wear masks.Im only claiming that a well balanced diet would put you in a better position to get through a covid infection.. That goes for all people thats breathing. Different countries have different diets, thats why some did better with dealing with the outbreak..
Again, there are no cures for covid, just like there is no cure for the common cold and seasonal flu.. All you can do is position yourself to battle it, if caught..
Not to mention the increasing evidence that lockdowns are rather tenuous at stopping the spread of Covid. It doesn't cease to amaze me how the "health experts" promoted non essential and dangerous practices of isolating inside without vitamin D, zinc or Vitamin C, keeping quiet when people bought fast food, sweets and alcohol while being extremely stressed out and turning a blind eye to exercising.
You've been vindicated, my friend. All we can do now is promote the info and hope for the best that people heed it.We explain the extreme importance of vitamins, herbs and minerals to the black community because they are the building blocks for survival. Instead many on this platform was ridiculed and marked as Agents for not promoting Big Pharma and CDC(white owned and controlled) to the masses. I wonder how many family members of these people on this site would be alive from these simple items.

I'm also wary of this for two reasons to keep in mind: (1) the Vitamin D industry has become a fad industry in the last decade or so (the same with other Big Pharma-lite complexes) and the belief that Vitamin D testing and supplements improve health for those who already have a sufficient amount in their bodies is erroneous; (2) this is a study to actually "test out" the relationship between Vitamin D levels above a certain amount - and the results are quite mixed (and don't control for a bunch of really obvious factors:
People who consume more Vitamin D (usually through outdoor exercise or supplements), are also more likely to be in better shape, consume other important vitamins/minerals, have a higher water intake, be of a higher social class, more focused on their health, etc - than those with levels below the threshold.
Are you just looking to argue for the sake of it?Means what exactly?
That being unhealthy leaves you at a higher risk for complications or death? I don't think anyone has contradicted that idea yet.
