Trump imposes 25% tariffs on all products Americans buy from Canada, Mexico and EU. 10% on China || Can & Mex respond: 25% | China responds: 15%

There definitely won't be any stimulus checks this time. COVID should have opened a lot of folks eyes that these companies are all propped up by debt and didn't have the funds to last a month without folding.
Aint no PPP either because Trump is trying to give the rich all that extra money. There was the rumor he might try to get rid of federal income tax which would Lowkey kill America.

Like I said these are all mediocre magical thinkers Idk, as much as I been able to predict things, I don’t know where the bottom is, because I operate in a world of cause and effect and they operate in a world of “no consequences”.

That YOLO lifestyle is about to hit a lot of folks in face pretty harshly. Once inflation and recession happens jobs are going dry up quickly and credit will disappear. Plus they're destroying the welfare net too.

That's what I've been saying for years and told I was an elitist. Folks complaining about the prices of things but still consuming. Buying 60-70-80k cars with a 8% interest rate but also complaining about the price of eggs. The two don't correlate. We're in the late stages of capitalism where consumerism has reached a critical mass. People's self centered nature has them constantly buying to escape the realities of life. If most of the actually sat down and had some discipline the economy could cool down a bit and their finances would be aligned a bit better. But no they have to keep buying "things" to show other people that they're living a life that they can't truly afford and don't even realize that other people are also buying "things" to keep up with the jones too...smh

You see it. They teach you this is history class and economics. It's well documented people just don't pay attention

They are destroying America. Don’t get it wrong, and they are calling all of us p*ssy while doing it.

Mexico probably folds first they're totally dependent on US companies and consumers.

Trump Wants a Trade Deal, Not a Trade War. He May Get One.

They have no reason to fold lmao. Just like Canada their population is already more price compliant, this isn't gonna be a major issue to them. It also won't impact most goods that everyday people purchase, whereas in the US this is going to nuke grocery prices and lumber (construction). Not to mention electronics. So that's food, houses, gas, and all the little electronic gadgets we can't live without replacing every 1-2 years.

If Trudeau wasn't an idiot this could have literally saved his career. Flip side it completely shifts Poilievre from sucking up to MAGA for business interests to going full blown rally-around-the-flag nationalist to defend the nation. This is a gift, politically, for Canada. And Mexico is gonna do what they always do: survive.

We could be talking about a 2010 style midterm wipeout next year.

Mexico will fold once Trump starts taxing remittances. Canada's GDP has barely risen in years compared to the US. Neither country has the arsenal for a long protracted trade war against the US. You think a psycho like Trump is gonna just stop at tariffs? The US has been destabilizing countries for generations. They wrote the playbook on economic and political warfare.

I don't know what these countries are thinking anyway. China gave every country the blueprint for dealing with the US economically. They said if US Companies want access to our market. Then you must partner with a local Chinese company and hand over all your Intellectual Property.

The way you beat the US is going after it's Corporations not the average consumer. Politicians will only listen to Corporations because they control who gets elected. They could care less if the average voter is paying more for consumer goods. These countries need to hit US Companies doing business in their countries.

My company has business deals all over Latin America. If those countries banned together and made doing business in the region difficult. Lobbyists would be all over Washington putting pressure on the Trump Administration. Otherwise he could care less that consumers are paying higher prices.

thats what they're going to do

canada is going to increasingly move away from teh US as well

the whole world has to pivot away from the U.S. in the short term you can’t trust an insane and chaotic administration and in the long term, you can’t trust the American voters not to elect more idiots like Trump.

Right now we are moving like the richest and most powerful banana or in this case tech republic in the history of the planet.
