Every single last one of "the youth" will either get thrown in jail, deported or forced on the battlefield if they don't want to go.

Then on when you try to apply for a job and say you're 100% healthy they'll just ask why you didn't serve mandatory military service and your resume goes right into the trash.

They are either going to have to water down the asvab or step up schooling because not everyone can pass.

Ain't going to do you any good have 100,000 soldiers that can't do algebra 2, can't read at a 9th grade level, are too fat to run 2 miles.

What are the downsides of 2 years of compulsory service for every young man and woman leaving high school?

Those 2 years won't get the cobwebs off. Kids can't run 2 miles are already smoking vapes and THC pens, have tattoos suck at math, tech, science, reading. By the time an intense military course gets them close to par their time will be up and they'll quit.

Besides there's too many benefits as it is, not everyone can be a veteran. They'd have to make separate benefits for enlisted service members vs mandatory served.

I know. It's dangerous. I get it. But that's EXACTLY what the 2nd amendment is for and then white boys gonna shoot back too.
