Just like Blockbuster, they did this to themselves. They saw the wave coming and thought they were such a staple that they could continue doing what they were doing. Everything was moving online and much cheaper and these mfs were out here asking $50 for an action figure :dahell:

Adapt or die out here in these skreets :beli:
There’s no reason for Blockbuster to not have their own movie streaming platform they dropped the ball big time

I don’t feel sorry for any of these businesses they been around forever and never did their proper forcasting and market research they had plenty of chances to shift their business models and stay ahead of the curve but they were arrogant and greedy

How do you shift the business model of a giant toy store in an age where kids grow out of toys earlier than at any point in history? You just can't compete with a company that has no retail land obligations or front line employees (Amazon) or a company that also sells groceries, tires, and clothing (Wal-Mart). This ain't the case where there are other examples of retailers in the same space such as Circuit City and Best Buy. Toys R Us was the last of the big box toy retailers for a reason.

Uhh you go digital and beat amazon to the punch! Amazon started with just books in a one room office with no war chest ! . You’re toys r us with 100’s of millions of dollars ...they could’ve pioneered the online wave and boxed amazon out ...toys r us may have had to downscale and close stores in the process but it would’ve been voluntary and could’ve been killin it online ....that’s how a savvy business does it ...best buy does a decent job at it cause you can order online and do in store pickups
