Just like Blockbuster, they did this to themselves. They saw the wave coming and thought they were such a staple that they could continue doing what they were doing. Everything was moving online and much cheaper and these mfs were out here asking $50 for an action figure :dahell:

Adapt or die out here in these skreets :beli:

Actually Bain Capital did it to them, same company that killed KB Toys. These private equity firms swoop in just to suck out all the remaining money out of a company before liquidating it.

Ain't shyt left, but last time I went in there it looked like a Radio Shack or Best Buy. It was mostly electronics (cell phones, tablets, etc)/gaming with scattered in toys.

People want experiences now not possessions. Kids included. It's not just that that they could cost cut and shave their margins to remain profitable.

What was the last toy that was a hot commodity that WASN'T a video game?

I'm sad to see it go, but that's just the lay of the land now.
Fidget Spinners. Lol.

Things are changing though.
