Toys R US is now Toys Were Us

It sucks being a kid now. When I was young we had Toys R us, KB Toys, Fao Schwarz, and several local toy stores. Fao Schwarz in particular had holiday themed playworlds with life sized nutcracker figures, train sets, and had crazy display windows downtown.

Now all these kids have is a dirty Walmart and amazon

We treated that store like it was Disney World

My mom would give my sister and I the big toy book before Christmas, and we'd circle all the stuff we wanted "Santa" to bring us.

This is so sad...

But so fitting that this would occur during the Presidency of TRUMP....

Everything seems so dark now...

I'm so fortunate that my son was able to "experience" Toys R Us..

I took him to the times square store during s visit to NYC several years ago and loved seeing my son's face lightup at the sight of the Giant ferris wheel they had in the store.....

Even I felt childlike at that moment....

So many memories....
