Why are you comparing top cards? Your PS5 isnt even as strong as average cards — 2 generations ago :gucci:

A 3070 or 4060 ti — average cards are like 5x better than your ps5

A 2060 ti with a good processor is going to blow your ps5 out of the water on almost all games

You keep saying I have a $2500 card (made up prices by the way). I have a 2070 super. Card is 5 years old. I also run apex at 140-200 fps and max settings.

Your ps5 which is only 4 years old cant do that. Stop comparing it to new pc tech. Just stop. Compare it to shyt that came out in 2016. Thats more fair.
There's no games on PC that looks better than Horizon Forbidden West, a PS5 exclusive. :banderas:

Good enough they didn't buy it :mjpls:
The hive mind told them it was bad and they'd have the inferior version of the game, all the while saying that they are willing to spend hundreds/thousands for the inferior version of the games on their favorite console.

Uh yeah.

I wouldn't say budget though. It's the typical/average gamer that consoles are made for. No setup, no building, cheaper, and more than good enough performance. Even now to build an equivalent PC to a standard PS5, by the time it's all said and done you would end up paying close to it or more nowadays.

An equivalent PC at the time of the PS5's release was absolutely more expensive. We've just gotten around the price of a standard PS5 with a similar PC build today over 3 years later.

For those who have the time, know how, and bread, yeah PC will always win. no one is debating this.

As long as the PS5 Pro isn't over 700 (expecting 649-699), then an equivalent PC build will still cost more. And console optimization is always an advantage.
this just isnt true though, we did multiple builds on this very forum here of similar priced PC builds that were superior to PS5 upon release. Wont be any different for PS5 Pro.

and if something is the cheapest option for something, anything in life, then its the budget option. PS5 is the budget option for gaming, just no way around it.

A 2500 dollar graphics card should run and look way better than a 500 dollar total console. You gonna end up spending at least 3300 minimum for a fully fleshed out PC as well with a 4090. 95% of people are not @Ciggavelli and @itsyoung!! and don't see the differences worth over 3000 between them.
Don't forget the monitor.. You need something that's able to play 4k/120 to utilize that 4090, so throw in a another 500-1500-3000 depending on size

Youre way too optimistic. Why are we discussing 4090? Current PS5 isnt even as good as a 2060 ti :gucci: which is a $250 card :gucci: i dont care what they say on paper, im looking at actual game performance.

Im not listening to any dweeb discuss game performance while most yall games are 60 fps. Ive been gaming at 144 fps for near a decade :gucci:

Apex just got 120 fps on ps5 and its struggling.

Most $300-400 video cards are going to run apex flawlessly at over 120 fps.

Ps5 is 2 and soon to be 3 generations of tech behind. Comparing it to a 4090 or soon to be 5090 this year is asinine.

I have no clue why console users think they are in the same hemisphere let alone ballpark graphic wise or performance wise. Like do yall eyes not work?

PC is already moving onto 8k resolution and for those staying behind on resolutions we’re at 240+ fps

Ps5 pro will be lucky to just have consistent 120 fps.

Yall a lil too old to be bamboozled by console vs pc comparison’s especially @Rekkapryde you disappoint me tremendously in here cause you arent even honest with yourself

Comparing even an average PC today to a PS5 or soon to be PS5 pro is like comparing a honda to a ferrari

Just be forreal with yourself @Rekkapryde
You seem to know a lot... Currently running a 1060.. Yea i said it. I don't game, it was for video editing. I'm thinking about a 3070 ti which is around $800.. Do I need all that? Again, I don't even game.. What's something that's a couple hundred that's way better than mine but not overkill?

Yeah it's more than good enough, but then I see gamers complaining about how we still don't have 4k and 60fps still isn't a standard.

Console Gamers want the best graphics, 4k, and 60 FPS all for $400.:russ:
As someone who wants this, I don't give a damn about $400... Just make it happen.

I, like many, like consoles cause portability, ecosystem with games, ease of use, and the fact I already have a computer and it's not going to be tied up with gaming. In fact, I usually game on the ps5 while on my computer....

So if I got to pay $1000 for 4k/60 or 1080/144, then I'll pay it. Probably could pay for a PC build, then hook it up to the TV and do the same... But then I wouldn't be playing exclusives and all that day one from Sony.

If Sony had game pass, I'd have a PC. I think a lot of gamers would. That's how XBOX killed itself. At that point, why not get the PC. But Sony ain't gonna do that. So what's the next best thing we can hope for? A PRO console that actually has some meaning to the word PRO and is a major step up from the base model. $150 ain't that. If this shyt costed $1000, i'd be much more likely to get it cause I know it's worth it

I mean, realistically speaking, there's a lot of people going console that either need to buy a TV or recently purchased a TV to run 4K/60, let alone 4K/120, so that's probably best seen as a push.

buy a 4060 ti, only $400 or so and is better than a 3070 ti

or you can wait for the 5000 series cards to come out in September or so of this year which will be even stronger for probably around $400 as well

That's insane that for $220 difference really means nothing but good looks on saving me money. I'll probably get some ram now and wait on the 5000. I like to future proof as much as possible

That also happens to be on the PS4. I know because I bought it on the PS4 and got the PS5 version for free. Begs the question if they can make cross generation games that look so good why do we need a PS5 Pro? In late 2022 so almost 2023 they released God of War Ragnarök on the PS4 yet we're supposed to believe the market needs a PS5 Pro? It wasn't that long ago they were still releasing PS4 games.

I’m good on the Pro. I’m most likely going to build a PC next year and wait for the PS6. I skipped the Pro when I had my Ps4 slim and didn’t miss out on a thing.:manny:
