Do they really have to just use CGI for every god damn thing now?

Robert Englund speculates that the studio might be using the story from Dream Warriors for the proposed reboot:
What the Dream Warriors Story?
What so special about that?
Where can I get this story? You never seen it? If you haven't, us telling you about it won't do it justice.
Where can I get this story?
Edit: Ain't that part 3 of the franchise?
It's one of the best ones though even though it's part 3. Some say it's better than the first and while I don't agree I definitely see the argument. The basic story is a group of kids are in a halfway house or a psych ward for different emotional issues they have and it turns out they're the last of the Elm at kids.
Okay than yes I seen it and I agree is the best one in the franchise.Yes it's the third movie.
think of dungeons and dragons (animation) vs Freddy..Presto!What the Dream Warriors Story?
What so special about that?
that would be the perfect send off and tribute to Wes and the Elm street franchise. If Robert Shaye is still at new line, Im sure Englund will play Freddy one last time, some type of farewell to the character and Craven and Englund...or at least thats what they should do..
I think Darabont and Russell did a great job with it,it was more fantasy horror.. but I would've like to saw Cravens original story, if I remember correct it was a origin story on Freddy..think of dungeons and dragons (animation) vs Freddy..Presto!
Dream Warriors was brilliant, fresh and unique! Had that fantasy feel but kept the dark and chilling atmosphere of the original elm street film.
yes and it was discussed in the Never sleep again documentary.I think Darabont and Russell did a great job with it,it was more fantasy horror.. but I would've like to saw Cravens original story, if I remember correct it was a origin story on Freddy..
