Lol i aint defending them in any way but lets be serious........do we have alot of folks up here denying being black? As silly as it sounds even when hoodrats are running around in green wigs, you won't hear "Im not black".

Even if they sprinkle in a little "im indian" to troll once iin a while

Rarely is there a "Im not black" statement. But other than that yes I agree the whole wig and weave thing annoys me and is a turn off

I got a friend who's Dominican who acknowledges his African ancestry but doesn't consider himself "black" because to him that's an American cultural classification. He considers himself Dominican.

In the 11th grade I had a Dominican social studies teacher who DID consider herself black, one day she said some shyt in class like "us black people need to stick together" the whole class erupted in laughter and started clowning her for trying to "be black." She was so embarassed, I felt sorry for her.

Why would she be embarrassed if she was teaching you?. You are the students who know less than she does. If anything she may have felt embarrassed about how ignorant the class was, and you are the future.

It used to make me mad, but I realized, it's just they are not educated. A lot of countries are like the old United States, when people didn't know a lot about the world, and it's past, or they are still separated from each other, so they know very little about their own history because their schools are on some bullshyt. We are truly blessed here, because we had people before us that did the work that allowed us to be able to have pride, and live or work,where we want.

A lot of countries don't value education, let alone world history, so all they know is what they have been taught by those closest to them. This bullshyt is passed down for generations. This is why the ones who have education don't talk like this. They know the truth, and not what great grandma told them.

We all grew up together, went through the same thing, so when they say nikka, I know they don't mean it as someone who never grew up with me, and may be using it in a derogatory way. Even then they know not to say it around just any person because some people won't take it a certain way based on how they look.
