i went to cuba a few weeks ago and the dark skinned cubans i came across who talked to me after accusing me of being haitian first lolthey would talk about how they are not black i was like

How are they denying who they are by saying they are mixed?
By saying they are mixed they are acknowledging all parts of their heritage.
There is a difference between saying I'm mixed and saying I have no African ancestry.
One is saying yes, I'm black and other things, the other is denying their black ancestry.

I think it depends on WHAT exactly that mixed person is saying. If it is an example like greatestlaker said where they are like "Yes I am black along with other things" then I don't think its too much of an issue.
But if its something liike "I am not black......I am mixed" then I would be inclined to agree with Zeon
