I do wish it had ended 10 min earlier. The attempts to shoehorn it into Cloverfield kind of hurt it. I would have absolutely loved it had it ended when she took the mask off.

Really liked it but even after all these JJ quotes I still dont understand if this is supposed to be in the same universe as Cloverfield. Is the end supposed to be tied to the monster in NYC?

If so, they really went somewhere with the Cloverfield monster mythology I didnt expect

A good movie is a good movie...but the Cloverfield hook will certainly make many angry viewers. If this, as suggested, is just #2 of several films in the "series" then I can forgive it. If not, it's kind of shytty lol
