This is a good article about how aliens might be intelligent machines. It's a very interesting idea :jbhmm:

I don't think they are machines but they probably utilize A.I

We may be getting visited by multiple beings that are from various points in the past and future. These different visitors may not even be aware of each other. Imagine you are an alien intelligence checking out Earth and you run into another alien species that is doing the same thing. Would you chop it up with it and share crazy Earth stories?

There are so many possibilities.

I believe it's a committee like space force with friendly intentions and it's probably negative species who probably do the abductions etc..

Richard Dolan, probably the sanest ufologist, agrees that the Greys are abducting humans for reproductive experiments, often thought of as a way to create human/grey hybrids. Why they want to create hybrids is unknown. The greys are likely controlled by another species, who just use them to do their dirty work. Apparently, experiencers have seen Mantis aliens control the greys. The greys supposedly are like robots in that they only do their task and don't really think for themselves.

I don't really believe in good or bad, from an existential standpoint, but I do agree that there are good and bad outcomes for humans. I think aliens can be negative and positive from our perspective, definitely.

I would love to see an alien world and how their civilizations work. I wonder who are the tall black humanoids Norman Van Bergen see that follow our space ships and be around Saturn rings

Considering that the entire image of Greys and abduction developed from the retelling of 1960s TV shows, there's gotta be a saner UFOlogist than that.

We can't even hybridize with monkeys from our same evolutionary line, but we could somehow hybridize with a being from a different solar system? The concept is biologically ridiculous - even if they somehow had developed from DNA (extremely unlikely), the amino acid base pairs would all be different. Not remotely possible. Even under the "alien seed" hypothesis, the two different evolutionary paths would be far more different than, say, humans and mammals.

And why would they want such a goofy sci-fi objective as "let's hybridize these" anyway?

While I respect your thoughts in other threads, this discussion isn’t for you.

Assuming the phenomena is real I don't think hybridization is what's going on here. It doesn't make sense. If they're highly advanced shouldn't there be more advanced means to do so? Plus a lot of the reported interactions make no logical sense. For example, a rural man coming into contact with beings that offered him greasy pancakes.
Even the kids in Ruwa, Zimbabwe had unique interactions. Some saw the typical Greys, others saw the morphing face of a Lion. Some received telepathic messages of ecological destruction and some didn't.

Personally I think the phenomena interacts with each individual based on their own psyche and cultural background. I think they are trying to teach humanity something over a vast scale of time. Something we probably wont fully understand until some far future point in time. I don't even think they're aliens but some form of intelligence that exist amongst us that we can't perceive due our limited perceptions of reality.

Every study of the human mind shows we are extremely vulnerable to wishful thinking and confirmation bias. This has been experimentally proven over and over. Our minds create patterns where patterns aren't there and invent narratives to interpret and connect events even when there's no connection whatsoever.

Read "Thinking, Fast and Slow" by Nobel Prize winner Daniel Kahneman for a great overview of this.

My point being, no person is immune to this. But those who refuse to expose themselves to contradictory information and narratives are screwing themselves over completely. There is basically zero chance of finding truth on any issue if you don't seriously take into account views that differ from your own.
Likewise can be said of you. To think I haven’t considered the skeptical counter arguments is insulting. Of course I have. This thread is not about that. Like I said this thread is not for you. It’s all speculation and 2nd hand accounts. It’s not a thread for your skeptical arguments. This thread is for people who have already passed that hurdle. It’s not for you, or at least not at this time. I know it’s fun to argue and feel superior, but that’s not what this thread is about. You’ll get no satisfaction doing that here.

Likewise can be said of you.

How can that be said of me when I'm purposely enveloping myself in the counterarguments and engaging with every one?

:dahell:

No one in the world is above inherent bias. But you can either engage with it and seriously challenge your own preconceptions, or you can preemptively reject them, like you did.

To think I haven’t considered the skeptical counter arguments is insulting. Of course I have.

We're literally talking about the data as it comes in. Looking at the other side of the argument is something you do constantly, not something to be done and then stop.

If you have considered my arguments and found them lacking, then why haven't you been able to counter them here?

lol - if not here than where?

Claiming that you can stop thinking logically once you've "passed that hurdle" is nonsense.

Why do you assume anyone doing their best to figure out the truth is "feeling superior"? Since you think you're so right that you won't even allow counters and think you can boss me around, isn't it you who is acting egotistical here?

I’ve argued with you about UFOs in the past. I’ve seen your responses in this thread. Your aim certainly does not appear to be to one that seeks the truth on UFOs, but rather one that wants to shyt on anything UFO related. I simply want to talk and speculate about UFOs with likeminded posters. Like I said, this is not for you, given your posting history in all UFO threads.
