Not going to read through all this but it's common knowledge that Kobe is wildly overrated by the casual fan. He's been on a big market his whole career and racked up rings in great situations and that'll get anyone overrated.

He didn't peak particularly high compared to other all-time greats and has been racking up accolades based on his reputation for years now (I'm particularly thinking about his all defensive team selections).

He is a very good player but the fact that he was never the best player in the league is quite telling IMO.

LeBron was clearly better in 06 and 07. In 08 Chris Paul, Garnett and LeBron were better than him. And in 09 and 10 LeBron was clearly better.

General Consensus is that Kobe is a top 10 player all time...hall of fame coaches/players/executives around the league have said how great a player he is. Thats good enough for me

You need to relax on this "being carried to 3 championships" its not like shaq had won anything before Kobe got into his own, you make it seem as if Kobe was relegated to Adam Morrison status during those title runs...I acknowledge shaq was the dominant player at the time but lets not forget Kobe held his own
