OP thinks Hakeem's dream shake was 5 steps.
SMFH @ COMPARING HAKEEM'S EPIC FOOTWORK TO THE PLAYERS OF TODAY .. U STAY LOSIN FUCCBOY
OP thinks Hakeem's dream shake was 5 steps.
Learn what a gather step is.
Exactly, shyt was popularized by Manu who used to do that shyt in the Euroleague.
I honestly think it's cause Harden is a leftie and people have trouble seeing it done with the odd foot, cause these the same dudes that say he travels on layups cause he jumps off his right foot...which is what all lefties do.
Pop quiz, if Harden stepped back and landed on both feet simultaneously, would he be allowed to pivot with either foot? Take your time with this one.I PLAYED FOR THE WORLD FAMOUS TAFT WIT JORDAN FARMAR .. AND IF U DONT THINK ITS A TRAVEL AFTER I BROKE IT DOWN, I NOW SEE WHY UR DUMBASS IS SO IGNORANT WHEN IT COMES TO BASKETBALL OPINIONS
That's not a travel. But I see how OP is saying that. On that James Harden move he does sometimes travel though because his pivot foot slides but not that time. That's just a gather step

NOTICE HOW THIS STEP-BACK U POSTED IS COMPLETELY DIFFERENT, BECAUSE HE LANDS ON BOTH FEET SIMULTANEOUSLY .. THAT IS A LEGAL STEP-BACK. NOT THE SAME AS HARDEN'S STEP WHERE HE LANDS TWO FEET SEPARATELY. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE, ITS NOT THAT HARD TO SEE, YET U POSTIN VIDEOS OF A LEGAL STEP-BACK TRYNA PROVE YA DUMBASS POINT SMFH
YOU CANNOT HOP BACKWARDS OFF A GATHER-STEP
LEARN WHAT A HOP-STEP IS OR FALL BACK. ONCE U HOP BACKWARDS OFF ONE FOOT, U NEED TO LAND ON BOTH FEET SIMULTANEOUSLY. YALL WHO NEVER BEEN COACHED AT ANY LEVEL REALLY EXPOSIN YASELVES HERE.
It's not a travel dumbass, and you played in the Yeshiva league, stop trying to pump yourself up Mordechai. It is not a travel because the NBA rule book clearly says you can land on both feet, or do a 1-2 after the gather. There's nothing in the rule book that says what direction you have to take your steps, it's also why players like Curry are doing gathers + sidesteps now.
He's a right handed player, if he were left handed you'd be calling it a travel. You clearly don't understand what a gather step is and you're just digging yourself deeper into ignorance. Again, Harden did the step back move in the Olympics with international refs, it wasn't called then because it's not a travel, whereas NBA dudes were getting called for palming violations.
Even in the video you posted in the first post it's a GATHER then 2 steps, you prove in every thread how stupid you are.
NOPE, AFTER A HOP-STEP, THE PLAYER MUST INSTANTLY GO UP OR PASS THE BALL ONCE LANDING..SAME WITH A GATHER-STEP. THIS IS STUFF THEY TEACH U IN ELEMENTARY.
A player who comes to a stop on step one when both feet are on the floor or touch the floor simultaneously may pivot using either foot as his pivot
Where in the rule book does it say what direction you have to be moving, point it out to me.
Your dumb ass is confusing a hop step and gather step
LISTEN, NAZIBOY .. ITS NOT A FUCCIN GATHER. ITS A HOP-STEP AND U GOTA BE RETARDED NOT TO REALIZE THIS. STRAIGHT UP. A GATHER IS WHEN U PICK THE BALL UP MID-STEP IN THE MIDST OF YOUR DRIVE.. ITS NOT A STEP THAT PROPELS YOU IN THE AIR LIKE U ON A TRAMPOLINE .. LEARN THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN GATHER-STEP AND HOP-STEP OR SHUT THE FUCC UP.
Rule 9, Section XIII, Item (b): A player who receives the ball while he is progressing or upon completion of a dribble, may take two steps in coming to a stop, passing or shooting the ball. A player who receives the ball while he is progressing must release the ball to start his dribble before his second step. The first step occurs when a foot, or both feet, touch the floor after gaining control of the ball.
A player who comes to a stop on step one when both feet are on the floor or touch the floor simultaneously may pivot using either foot as his pivot
NOTICE IT SAYS "WHEN BOTH FEET ARE ON THE FLOOR" .. THATS THE POINT OF EMPHASIS HERE
U CONTINUE SHIITIN IN YA OWN MOUTH
SERIOUS QUESTION, U EVER PLAY ORGANIZED BALL.. AND IF SO, AT WHAT LEVEL?
Because people are as stupid as you are this was explained 3 years ago already, with the fukking NBA rule book -
