How do you monetize a culture?

You dont monetize the culture you monetize the consumables the culture influences or generates

Fashion
Music
Hair/Hygiene/Beauty products
Etc.

How many black owned labels top tier rap labels are there? 0
How many black owned nationally distributed Fashion houses? 0
We have lots of Hair/ Hygiene/ Beauty companies but they are still a relatively small percentage of products consumed by Black people

Thats not even mentioning community convenience stores, weave shops, gas stations, restaurants, etc.

Our culture can be monetized because other cultures have figured out how to do it.

Ownership - things that are of specific use to people in our culture (like black hair care products), you need to start owning those types of businesses

Support - supporting said businesses

Non-support - stop supporting business that capitalize off of our culture, that aren’t black owned

Think about Chinese food spots... I would imagine MOST good Chinese takeout is owned by Chinese owners, and I doubt Chinese people are going to eat white owned Chinese food places over Chinese owned. Same concept. :yeshrug:
