we got people saying that watch dogs stutters at 1080p with a 980.
Dead rising requires a 670 to get 30fps at 1080p
All these other games are requiring 3 to 4gb for high levels (aka console level shyt).
I game differently than others, but I do see the trends. Nobody wants to believe me, but we keep getting more and more evidence that supports the notion that we really haven't caught up with the consoles for a comparable price.
and we all know about rockstar and ubi shyt. I'm guessing there is no way he's getting ps4 level graphics on those games with a 500 machine

A 670 can be copped sub $200.
If you want that console experience drop the resolution down to 792p or 900p and cap it at 30 fps, and set it to High

Nobody on here has a 500 machine that I know of. He specifically mentioned gta v. Is that gonna run at 1080p, 30fps, on high with a $200 card? People should have realistic expectations. I seriously don't think you can get a ps4 level experience with $500.
lol@"high" like if that is some static setting across games and consoles. You're comparing apples to oranges. Trying to put the square block in the triangular hole. Only thing you're dead on about is that $500 ain't going to cut it, not for everything.
i've spent $250 on each of my last 2 GPU's....Evga GTX 560 and 760.
they both did me well...i'm still rocking my 760.
i'm on a single monitor at 1080p.
i upgrade my GPU every 2 years.
the game moves so quickly in PC gaming...you just gotta put your head down for a while and let it pass.
developers have been saying high is the ps4 equivalent for a lot of these games. That's why I used that metric. People need to know what it really costs to have a ps4 level experience, with all ports, not just the ones ya'll like to quote. What does that really cost? The only metric I ever see being compared here is to BF4. Yeah, we can run BF4 on ultra for 600 or 700. But what about these other games?
Ubisoft is a major developer. You're just gonna have him not play those games at all?
$250 is half your budget right there. You seriously gotta skimp on EVERYTHING else to stay under $500-600
i am in no way, shape or form endorsing a $500 gaming rig.
i'm just saying that you don't need a $500 GPU to game on a PC.
if you want to game on a PC then you are gonna drop $1000....but in the long run you will save with the price of games.
