the 970 is definitely more powerful, and has more ram, than a 780
Will go for it x 2.

I see it now. This is on the way - http://www.asus.com/uk/Monitors/ROG_SWIFT_PG278Q/
Go with the stronger card. I game with three monitors, so 3k and my 2 780tis are at capacity with everything on ultra. It'll only get worse with new games. Get the stronger cards.2560 x 1440

1440p at those fps, I'd go with 2 980s if you can afford it
Oc those 970s then.Wish I could lol

Don' make my mistake though. Get reference so the air blows out the back, instead of in the case with the aftermarket fans.

Good luck, we're not there yet without spending a good amount.Thinking about making the leap to PC gaming. After reading the last few pages of this thread, I see you guys are on some ultra high end shyt. I'm just trying to stay on par with next gen consoles.
PC gaming is a big house and there's plenty of room for everyone. most of the really popular PC games are not that high spec (Dota 2, Counter Strike, TF2, etc), and the better PC games will scale to various hardware. don't let the 'ultra or nothing' crowd scare you away. for me the appeal of PC gaming is that it's an 'open platform' with many optionsThinking about making the leap to PC gaming. I'm gonna be the bearer of bad news again, and others will disagree with me I'm sure, but GTA V will more than likely be a problem. I see that needing monster specs to be comparable to the ps4. We even got developers saying that you need 2x the power of a ps4 for equivalent performance. GTA iv was a disaster on PC. You'll likely need a good graphics card and an i7 for those open world type gamesim building on a $500-$600 dollar budget, I aint trying to interrupt your high power shyt......
but whats good with them amd kaveri's?
I want to play the new warcraft expansion, gta V, and try skyrim
Probably going to run it with 8gb of 2133 ram as well
