What part of "i don't gamming much" don't y'all understand? :unimpressed:

I use my pc more for productivity and multitasking, i'm not interested in playing the latest releases with ray tracing and other crap :manny:
The benefits of a decent modern GPU is not limited to gaming.

A 4060 is like 300 bucks and will ensure you can run all the old stuff without hiccups.

As i said maybe get a rtx 4070 at the end of the year, it’s not a priority at the moment.

I'd wait on that 4070 purchase...

5090, 5080, and 5070 are releasing at CES 2025 (January 7th)

Some 5070 specs:

12GB GDDR7 memory
28Gbps speed
250W

$600+ for 12GB and 192 bit in 2025 :heh::camby:

RTX 5080 is half the 5090 but they will still charge "premium" for it, fukk nvidia fr :pacspit:

Price of the brick going up.

Blame AMD for not putting up better competition.

Nvidia been acting like a bytch since the 2xxx series, i can still run all the current games on my old 1070 with some adjustments so maybe i'll hold on to it for a while longer :patrice:

Leakers are saying the 5090 will probably end up being somewhere between $2000 and $2500 for the Founders Edition. That’s kinda wild. Scalpers definitely won’t have much room to jack up those prices.

Indiana Jones with "minor adjustments"

Did some tests with the games i have (WWZ, RE 2 and 3 Remake, Forza Horizon 4, Dying Light, GOW 5, Days Gone, Doom Eternal), can run them on ultra at an average of 60+ fps at 3440x1440.

As i said before, i have no interest in new games and for now see no reason to upgrade my gpu other than to keep up with "new features" that i probably won't use 95% of the time :unimpressed:

Normally id upgrade from my 4090 to the new upcoming 5090 but i dont see a big jump to do so. I finally bushed 2k gaming and went 4k due to the new 240hz 4k monitors(my 4090 gets 200+ fps on most games). No reason at all to jump to the 5090 unless 8k gaming becomes a more affordable thing at 120hz+

founder editions always hiked up.. not $2000 but I think the 2090 founders was like $1200 or something

im trying to get a 5070 upon release. My 2070 Super has done me wonders. I always skip 1-2 gens.
