I will when the screen is there :mjlit: in the meantime the high 4k performance would suffice. I'm copping a CX this wkend, so the high frames with G-sync and HDR is more than enough in the meantime

I copped that joint a couple days ago, shyt is amazing, got ps4 pro looking like PC games and shyt, I can't imagine how crispy this shyt gonna look with real 4k and high frames, I wish I didn't sell my 1080ti just so I can look at how the screen enhances the games, Spider-man and Ghost of Tsushima look like 60fps in the ultra color mode, the motion technology on this shyt is a beast, I gotta cop the 3090 now I was gonna settle on the 3080 but fukk it now, I gotta make sure I can do that 120 hz on ultra 4k at all times

I am comfortable and I love you
I have a "gaming PC" that I don't know what I should do with.

Specs

Ryzen 2600

570 MSI 8 gig

corsair 550 watt PS

16 gig DDR4 2666 memory

Deepcool cooler

NZXT H200i Mini

Asrock b450 Gaming Mini-ITX board

I'm in the same boat as you breh. I got the following:

Ryzen 2700X

RX 580 8GB

16GB DDR4 2666

ASRock B450M

Lian Li 205M mATX

550W PSU

I wanna cop the 3070, but you need at least a 650W power supply right?

Yeah it's like 360 watts for the gpu alone and...

We need faster memory for ryzen chips, 3000 is average but 3600 is recommended. That's holding it back alot.

Basically it's too slow for alot of heavier games, also I dislike the MINI-ITX as it's too hard to work on, space is too cramped. Also the bluetooth in the board isn't good, I hear static in it. I know the memory is too slow for Rzyen which is probably why it performs petty bad.

I can play some games like GTA5 that's not too heavy but games like Gears 5 freezes constantly. I was wondering if I should cut my loses and sell everything or what.

The thing is I don't play PC games too often so I was considering just selling it and getting a basic work desktop for productivity.

I do IT so I uses programs like GNS3 regularly of course I don't need much for such basic use.

But if I keep gaming, I would consider keeping the 2600 and PS and selling the rest. I don't know if this is worth it, if I keep I need new memory and a faster GPU and probably a CPU that's a bit faster in single core performance.

I'm kinda lost here, I also have a old y700 with the 980 and that also can play older games just fine.

What would make the best sense and cheapest path?

Y'all both on AM4 boards so y'all can keep the boards and swap the chip out for a 3000 series Ryzen, the 4000 series will be out at the end of this year so the prices probably gonna drop. Y'all can sell the 2000 series chips for around $90-$135 and get a r5 3600x for $200 or a r7 3700x for $270 if y'all are close to a Microcenter.

They say you need a 650W PSU but the chips don't even pull that much power if they aren't overclocked so you probably aren't gonna know for real until some reviews come out. They always overshoot the outputs of components and people will have PSU's that have way more headroom than needed because components are more efficient.

I don't wanna deal with this MINI-ITX build, too cramped to do anything and yeah that's a good idea. The 3 series is much better than the one that I have.

Ryzen needs fast ram, unlike Intell I can't rock a 2666mhz stick and call it a day. So I need that too...

I don't even know what I want to do with this.

RAM prices are dropping right now and will more for a couple of months because of a surplus from the supply chain. For those 3000 ryzens your good with 3600Mhz with 16CL latency so anything higher won't be worth buying you could get away with 3200Mhz with 18CL too for real. It's only gonna make a difference for real if you do renders or video editing type work heavy. I've found that a lot of those PC forums and websites are filled with broke people that want the fastest tech with nothing to use it for other than to brag and they can't afford it anyway.

You can sell your old RAM too and pick up 16GB for under $75

Only get the 3600 unless the price difference is less than 50 bucks. The difference ain’t worth it.

3070 u should be ok with that but if u ever want to overclock u might have to upgrade.

"please wait until Oct 28th guys" :sadcam:

I've waited this long so i think i'ma stick it out and see what AMD brings and really see the benchmarks between everything even though i honestly don't see anyway i don't end up going nvidia. But I've been wrong before. I'm probably not buying anything until black friday/cyber monday

At that point the 2nd wave of 3080's should be out by then. Hopefully that secret sku is revealed(3070ti/3080ti?) and we'll have real benchmark comparisons between Nvidia and AMD.

Bottom line. Whatever makes Cyberpunk run at it's absolute best for me is what i'm getting (3090 excluded lol)

This entire new gen launch is crazy though. I'm in a discord with local friends and we all got our gaming pc's around the same time 6-7 years ago. Obviously it's time we all upgrade at this point. 3 of us upgraded to the 2080 last year and those 3 are pissed as hell right now :dead:

500$ card better then a 2080ti :dead:
