If you have Microcenter close by look into their PowerSpec prebuilts.

And even though she doesn't need latest graphics wait a couple of months for 3000 series so then the RTX 2000s end up in under $1000 builds instead of 1660s.
Or get Microcenter to build the machine for you. Never buy a prebuilt unless it's a NZXT or corsair or you are willing to pay a lot more for a maingear etc. system.

as you should be. thus the reason it should be cheap plus you can resell. its just economically more intelligent. if youre going with the 3080, you better be keeping that card for the next 5 years or youre wasting your time and money.

as for 3090, from what optimum tech says, it will not be fitting in most itx cases but who knows what third parties will have. but again, that shyt is just overkill for now. like i said earlier, im not falling for that again, im getting a well equipped 3070 and we'll see what they come up with next summer, or the summer after. if i feel i need to upgrade...i will, but chances are, this is more than enough ffs its better than a 2080ti lol. and that shyt is a fukking tank right now as we speak lol. for just $499 hahahahahaha

It makes since to buy the the best and wait for the next leap, because the 3070 will be obsolete by next year, the 2080ti can't even run cyberpunk in 60fps ultra unless its 1080p, the 3080 is a 4k 60fps card for the next gen the other cards won't keep up

the 3090 is future proof, and the best value, because you won't need to buy another GPU until the PS6 is ready to launch, it will easily one all the AAA titles in 4k 120 hz then when 8k becomes viabe next year or the year after, you will be able to do 8k 60, its a no brainer

buying cards every year is a waste of money

Everything you said is right beside the 3090 it isn't the best value card - it's in the same realm has the 2080ti. Go with the 3080 and upgrade every other generation or every generation - for new gamers who aren't into raytracing or 4k 120hz gaming etc they can probably keep it for 3 years without needing to upgrade.
They truly learned their lesson with making sure the 3070 and 3080 performance is measurable enough to tell gamers to pick up the better card over the weaker one.

3090 is not in the same realm as the 2080ti, the 3090 is the replacement for the Titan Card and its one thousand dollars cheaper than the Titan, it is the best value, because you won't need to upgrade for 8 years at least

the 3070 is on a slight improvement over the 2080ti it will struggle with next gen games at 4k, the 3080 is the 4k 60 card, its already been tested on Horizon Zero Dawn which it ran on ultra 4k at 75 fps, which is the 2080ti struggles to run 60fps in Ultra with that game, so the 3090 is the 120hz card, and that's what gamers want 120hz at 4k, high frame rates have been impossible at 4k resolution until now, this is the only reason I got a 120hz TV is for this card, why would buy a card that can't do 4k 120z after spending that much on a damn TV

if you don't care how they look, you should want a functional design. not some shyt that wastes resources on stupid rgb shyt

The FEs cooling was always a step behind the non-refererence cards. Now that they seem to have addressed that I honestly prefer the FE. My case is a solid black box anyway :russ: I only see a faint glow in the dark

20-25% performance for 113% more of the price?
If you aren't in the position to lose 1600 dollars; someone shouldn't look at the 3090.
Next years 4080 will close that gap even further or the 1000 dollar 3080ti

No Whammies!!
34 ultrawide or two 27 inch monitors?

:jbhmm:

2 27" if you have productivity needs. I'm never going back to one monitor.

Though if you intend to use it for games, one large monitor is better. No matter now small the bezels are, extending one screen across multiple desktops is annoying. I used to have three monitors set up in "Eyefinity" mode, and one ultrawide is far superior.

Where are you getting those numbers from, the 3090 has way more cudo cores than the 3080,
Once again, the 3090 can do 4k 120z on Ultra, the 3080 can't, the 3090 can do 8k and 60hz, the 3080 can't, the 3090 has over double the VRAM

The 20/25 percent in performance is only for current gen games, as games get more demanding the 3090 will keep up and the 3080 will begin to struggle what don't you understand
the 3090 is overkill right now so the only difference you will see is the 120z at 4k, which is worth price, because you can't do anywhere else, and the card cost more because it can be used for real work not just gaming, graphics card aren't just for gamers that's why they are expensive.
