Character switching isn't bad if done right
The problem is they spent way too much time on Abby's section and it didn't help she got some of the coolest sections IMO
Next game should be all Ellie and like other posters said revolve around a cure

1st game - Joel and Ellie
2nd game - vengeance
3rd game - the cure

It makes sense

I wouldn't mind if Abby and/or Lev or other characters are playable as long as it's no more than 20-25% of the game

I didn't wait 7 years to play as Abby for half the game.

Cosign. And yeah, I think dealing with the cure is probably the way to go with the next one and Ellie's redemption arc.

it's always been about the human experience and the encounters
the virus is just the background

I think they should make the fungus mutate even more next game, infecting animals like dogs
Imagine fighting virus infected dogs
Obviously there will be even more new enemy types

With the PS5's technology they can come up with a lot of cool ideas for fungus mutation

After beating Part 2 I can't believe Ellie let Abby live. I get the big picture in the moment Ellie realized she would just be continuing a cycle of violence and chaos e.g. Lev would seek vengeance She experienced the cost of vengeance and realized killing Abby wouldn't bring her peace. She probably even understood why Abby killed Joel

And it only took 283 kills and two fingers to figure that out?



This game has the same predicament GTA IV has. The gameplay is in disharmony with the moral of the story.



There's plenty of missions Niko is a hit man for petty tender.



I literally crucified like 20 cops before I did this mission before I went to this cutscene, years ago--not my YT of course.

Like Brother Angry Joe said; they had an juncture to actually make us like Abby.

The way they made her scenes it breaks the "shown don't tell" rule of writing.

We were supposed to like her. A 360 degree turn from the us not knowing whether Joel was a hero or monster.

We watched his daughter die in the first hour and still can't decide if killing the 2nd biggest character was right or wrong.

ND failed miserably
The story might grow on me after a while
Maybe a few days, weeks, months, or years from now
But for now, ND's execution of storytelling was disappointing

I forget who said it in one of the TLOU2 threads but they said this should have been the third game in the series.

Speculation/hints point towards Europe for the next game
Maybe other unexplored parts of America like Canada might be included too
I wouldn't mind a new cast w/ old familiar characters make their entry in a outside the box way
Ellie is useless w/ her two fingers gone so no explosive bow and arrow for her
Idk what her purpose or point will be in Part 3 if Neil doesn't kill her off w/in the first 30 minutes while advertising the game as if it will be about her
Those leaks are going to be crazy
I think Sony's first party teams have 2 teams
I predict ND will introduce 2 new IPs (one from each team), deliver a sequel for one, and then release Part 3 at the end of the generation e.g 2026-2027
2022-ND New IP (ND would have 4 years to develop if they had dev kits in 2018)
2023-ND New IP (3 years since TLOU2)
2025-Sequel to one of the IPs
2026-2027-TLOU3

And it will be set in the usa. the story setting is too americana for it not to be
