somehow I got an extra 3 months
I bought it that same day...my subscription was set to expire 1/2/21 so I was expecting it to be extended to 1/2/22
when I bought the code and redeemed it on the PS app it said the code was for 1 year but also said 3 months...so I was a bit nervous because I thought I had to choose one or was worried it might fukk up and only extend it for 3 months...but it went thru and extended it for a year as expected 1/2/22
but today I get an email and it said welcome to PS plus blah blah blah and it shows my subscription ends on 4/2/22 which surprised me and then I remembered the redeemed code mentioned the 1 year/3 months
I turn on the PS5 to check and it still shows my PS+ end date as 1/2/22 but I notice auto-renew is on...I turn it off and my end date was updated to 4/2/22
long story short if you bought the PS+ code on the same day I did then check and see if you got the additional 3 months...15 months for roughly $30 is a great deal

It only froze/crashed and restarted once. It hasn't happened again.
My ps4 used to crash as well.
