Was news about the PS4 this slow coming out back in 2013?
What more news you talking about?

The PS4 price was released mid August and dropped mid November. And that was without a pandemic. They don't want to give you too long to be thinking about it. They also want to be ready to launch preorders the same day or shortly after announcing.

You’re right. I jumbled the dates. Price was e3, release date was aug, release was nov

The design of the console was unveiled in June at E3 2013, and the initial recommended retail prices of $399 (NA), €399 (Europe), and £349 (UK) given.[26][27]

The company revealed release dates for North America, Central America, South America, Europe, and Australia, as well as final pieces of information, at a Gamescom press event in Cologne, Germany, on August 20, 2013. The console was released on November 15, 2013, in the United States and Canada, followed by further releases on November 29, 2013

Potential for higher frame rates and more ray tracing?
GOW 60fps would be :banderas:

From the video (if it turns out to be true)

" would allow Sony to retain the overall nextgen visual quality of PS5 games and PS5 exclusives while running at lower resolutions. This would essentially allow developers to push performance, frame rates, ray tracing and a lot more without the need to worry about the resolution using up too many resources. The end user would have no idea that the game could actually be running at 1440p or even 1080p resolution as what they would see on screen is indistinguishable from native 4K resolution."

I wish it would. They really milkin their fans. Miss the days of San Andreas on PS2 when you got the full meal:mjcry:

gta3, vice city, san andreas an untouchable ps2 trilogy:wow:
The fans are milking themselves at this point... they let themselves get took 3 generations in a row. Fool me once, and all that.
