overrated - Scarface, Blade Runner, the piece of dogshyt Wedding Crashers, Hurt Locker

underrated - i have no idea, id just list really obscure comedies

yeah Hurt Locker was really nothing special.

and Moon was dope, really built a good atmosphere and the climax was dope.

Scarface is alright, and has alot of classic lines, but really it aint a great movie. and not because its old, there are alot of old movies that are still great pieces of work as a whole, Scarface just isn't one of em. Quotes from Scarface >>> Scarface the film.

Underrated = City Of Men - Alot of people wanted it to be City Of God 2 but it was a different movie, much more character driven than story driven, I really enjoyed it.

Donnie Brasco - It really was one of the best gangster films and should be placed right along side Goodfellas and Godfather, but I think it doesn't get its proper recognition because Donnie was a cop

I'm serious here. Paid in Full is criminally underrated. I think maybe because Dame Dash produced it or it's viewed as a dumb hood movie.

Paid in Full is a quality gangster movie. Good acting. Solid period set/costumes. And I feel like 90% of movie watchers haven't seen it.

It's far superior to New Jack City or even Juice.

I feel the opposite, Paid In Full gets way overexagerated on hip-hop forums for being really good when really it was just decent. I mean they took one of the most well known true life drug dealer stories in hip-hop (and the actual story is very interesting and could have been compelling to watch), took two great actors and just made a basic ass movie. It just had some poor execution. The script was lightweight, the the cinematography was basic, the movie was really average and has no place along side other hood based classics. But Cam did a good job though.

I actually watched all three of those recently and The Goonies was actually still pretty good. Ferris Bueller was meh and Never Ending Story was fukking terrible.

Also, appearantly Never Ending Story was a german film. I had no idea.

Very good underrated and overrated list minus......Rocky. shyt is a classic. No doubts about it. Holds up well now too.

Well, the godfather is possibly the greatest movie of all time..and goodfellas is not too far behind..Donnie Brasco is a very good movie, and deserves more praise than it gets, so yes its underrated, but the greatness that is the godfather and goodfellas is beyond what donnie brasco achieved. Its on par or better than bronx tale and maybe just a tad below if not even with casino. Its a very good film, but not on Godfather nor Goodfellas level, those two movies are beyond greatness.
