Yeah you can't say a movie is better than one you haven't seen yet but it's very possible Jackie Brown will still be your favorite.

All I know is the opening credits are goat. RD is dope af tho, not gonna find many people who disagree.

But if you don't like movies that end in violence stay away...although it was his first.

Lol

ALL HIS MOVIES END IN VIOLENCE.

Do we count True Romance?

Cuz that’s my favorite movie he’s been involved with.

Funniest scene ever - Dennis Hopper explaining to Christopher Walken that Sicilians are Black due to Moorish conquest.

  • Movie that aged the best: Pulp Fiction giving the connection formula is still innovative to movies with the tale of different stories
  • Movie that aged the worst: Grindhouse-Death Proof (Like I get the slow burn old school feel, but Planet Terror was the better watch of the Grindhouse double feature)
  • Your favorite overall-Inglorious Basterds (I loved the build up, characters, the GOAT antagonist (Jew Hunter), and the overall theme of the movie)
  • Least favorite overall- Reservoir Dogs- Honestly, the movie is overrated AF
  • Best character ever (ONE with an honorable mention only)- (Jew Hunter-diabolical and damn near made me grip my theater seat he was that demonic and cold)
  • Most underrated character ever- Gogo Yubari
  • Best acted scene ever-
  • Funniest scene ever-
  • Best action scene in a QT movie-
  • Best soundtrack- Grindhouse easilly
  • If I could have QT direct a (name a genre or series here...like pure horror, super hero, die hard, fast and Furious, etc)- A science fiction movie in the level of Star Trek (The fukkery would be interstellar)
  • Best actor to play multiple characters, overall in his movies (multiple characters)- Sam Jackson

wasn't that in conversation at one point?

BTW this whole thread makes me want to rewatch deathproof just to get a fresh opinion of it. Saw it once only.

I wish he would've made the Vega Brothers prequel. I could live with more Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction in my life.

You can tell he ain't never been hurting for money or just straight making movies as a cash grab. Otherwise I think he would've had more output since he blew up.

So many of yall like Kill Bill like that? I would put that at the bottom personally,it's alright but I'd rather watch Death Proof.

Yeah I actually was on board with a QT Star Trek movie, but sadly that never came to play.

On another note, I remember when my ex and I went to see the full double featured version of Grindhouse. Seeing it one time is all you honestly need especially in theaters The shyt blew my mind with the dedication of bringing a old rugged B rated flick to modern times. It was a night flick too, as we had to take a 5 to 10 minute intermission before Deathproof.

I remember Deathproof kinda killing the vibe of the audience, especially with the long ass dialog scene (I hate that QT trope next to feet), but it all balanced out near the end of the movie.

Plus that credit theme slapped like a bih:

I remember seeing Grindhouse. Me and my brother went first night, thinking it would be packed and there was literally 5 people including us in that bytch lmao.

We were high af and I remember laughing so fukking hard at the Thanksgiving trailer. Death proof did almost put me to sleep but it was a memorable experience overall.

After seeing the box office numbers and how bad it flopped made sense why no one was in the theater lmao

The theater we went to had a good amount of folks (not enough to pack a house), but no lie the shyt was draining for the average moviegoer, but it was a dope experience.

The trailers I wasn't ready for and low key I wanted to see "DONT" :dead:

A lot of people just didn't get it. The whole Grindhouse theme and presentation. And they didn't know how to market it because it should have made way more money and if it dropped today it would have performed better i think.

Robert Rodriguez imo fell off after that.

Yeah you can tell that flick was a black eye to dudes career because he hasn't been the same. It sucks because that double feature was amazing.

What they should have did was marketed as a limited edition once in a lifetime affair. Like have the flick be shown in a few theaters throughout the country. That way, you get curious dollars and people paying for the experience of a grindhouse flick, versus it just being a QT joint.
