The 247Sports crystal ball has been a good indicator as to who will end up committing to Michigan.
With limited spots left in the class, Wolverine247 takes an inside look at the 2016 prospects with the best chance to go blue.
DL Rashan Gary Paramus, NJ
Crystal Ball: 57% Michigan
The consensus top recruit in the country and Michigan’s top overall target in 2016, Rashan Gary's crystal ball continues to favor Michigan. He’s visited Michigan more than any other school and has great connections to the staff. Michigan has some stiff competition obviously, with Alabama and Auburn also owning portions of his crystal ball. Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh will be at his game this weekend to watch Paramus Catholic take on IMG.
OL Terrance Davis Hyattsville, MD
Crystal Ball: 76% Michigan
Davis has the highest crystal ball percentage to Michigan out of all the prospects left on the board. It’s been thought that Davis could drop to Michigan for a long time now. Maryland owns the other 24% of his crystal ball. Davis is set to officially visit Michigan when they play Ohio State on November 28th. Georgia will get their shot after Michigan as they host Davis on December 11th.
WR Dylan Crawford Santa Margarita, CA
Crystal Ball: 36% Michigan
Michigan recently got an official visit from Crawford and the Wolverines are thought to be the leader for his signature now. Michigan owns 36% of his crystal ball with USC, Arizona State, UCLA, and Stanford also have portions. Crawford is an elite receiver recruit that has the speed and playmaking ability that Michigan needs. He has shown an affinity for Michigan ever since he received an offer.
Connor Murphy Phoenix, AZ
Crystal Ball: 60% Michigan
Murphy has a unique connection to the staff, as
Jim Harbaugh has coached his older brother at Stanford. He’s the big, hard-nosed type of player that Harbaugh wants. Michigan is thought to be a great spot for Murphy, who is likely to visit Ann Arbor at some point in the near future. Oregon and Arizona State own the other parts of his crystal ball. Stanford is also listed under “warm” on his profile but has no crystal ball predictions.
LaVert Hill Detroit, MI
Crystal Ball: 73% Michigan
The Penn State commit has visited Ann Arbor a number of times since he pledged to the Nittany Lions and was on campus again for Michigan’s game last week. Michigan appears to be in great shape to flip Hill in the end. Hill’s brother Delano is a safety for Michigan. Ranked as the sixth best cornerback in the country, he has a 95 overall grade according to 247Sports.com.
Jonathan Jones Orlando, FL
Crystal Ball: 74% Michigan
Jones has always had Michigan at the top of his list and many thought it was just a matter of time before he committed. The Wolverines are still in a great spot for Jones, as well as Notre Dame, who also own 22% of his crystal ball. It will be a battle until the end for Jones but Michigan has consistently been the hardest in pursuit since they offered and
Jim Harbaugh just made a visit to watch him play on Thursday night.
