I hope he stays but I'm glad he rehabilitated his image and may have NFL suitors.

Doug Mallory will be at the top of the list if Wink leaves
Yeah, if they save Lynn from
full
, he's going to flip it for a college HC or NFL DC job. Which is fine but I'd rather not play musical DC every to every other off-season.

Mallory knows Michigan's amoeba, so there shouldn't be any transition costs like last off-season. He's actually called plays before although it was over a decade ago. Which honestly isn't that different than Joe Cullen, who was the top target last off-season.

Lynn will go to PSU he's an alum. I'm good with Mallory he was a big part in designing the pass coverages for 3 years plus it won't stray too far off with what we're doing

The former Michigan defensive back was a defensive analyst in Ann Arbor from 2021-2023 and was a highly valued member of that championship staff when it came to coverage variations and offensive attack strategies (against Michigan). One of his most talked about contributions was in the national championship game where Michigan was said to have as many as 30 coverage variations on the back end. Sources inside the program credited Mallory with many (all?) of those schemes. Quarterbacks and receivers late in that championship season often commented that Michigan came with looks they hadn't prepared for… well, here is the back-end guy that was coming up with a lot of those looks.

Like Sam's work but I think people are understating a transition from Wink. Mallory is entrenched in the scheme for sure, but I would also say its been a while since he called plays and the Raven's secondary was iffy at times this year.

Our pass defense when Mallory was here was top 5 nationally. I'm not too concerned Baltimore also had a first time defensive coordinator as well:manny:

Headed by multiple defensive masterminds at DC and a roster only 2nd to UGA with defensive NFL draft picks. Not saying he will fail but that is clearly a different situation than being the guy.

On Monday, Denton (Tex.) Ryan 2025 five-star offensive tackle Ty Haywood officially de-committed from Alabama and reopened his recruitment.

While not being labeled a Bama commit any longer, there's been a presumed thought he likely wasn't going to end up there for quite some time before that.

Michigan has remained a major player in this race for awhile now and will have a great chance to seal the deal in my opinion this weekend when he comes up

to Ann Arbor for the first time ever with his family.

Latest pulse on this recruitment has me giving the Wolverines have the edge in this recruitment and another factor that certainly has helped is quarterback

Bryce Underwood.

Not ready for a prediction here just yet, but that could change after this weekend.
