He wasn't even recruited as a fukking receiver breh. He was (I believe) the nations #2 safety recruit .. I remember Hoke went HARD after him .. him AND Adoree.

Edit: He was listed as an athlete, but errrbody wanted him at safety for his ball hawking skills.
yep I remember I saw Josh Garnett Stanford OL AA btw we finished 2nd with :francis:destroy a dude tonight we've just missed out on so much elite talent ts crazy:wow:

BRADENTON, Fla. - Center Cesar Ruiz (Bradenton, Fla./IMG Academy) said Michigan, North Carolina and Temple are tied on top for him.

Ruiz has been to all three programs and plans to return to each this off-season as he will be "on a visit every other week."

Ruiz said he hears from Clemson "the most."

The Crystal Ball reads 71-percent for Michigan and 29-percent for North Carolina.

The four-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 1 center in the 2017 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

BRADENTON, Fla. - Defensive lineman Rashan Gary (Paramus, N.J./Catholic) said he may announce January 2 at the Under Armour All-American Game.

If not, then it will be on National Signing Day.

Gary will base that decision on a few things.

"How close it is. How my mom feels. The food. That will be the main factors," Gary said.

The Crystal Ball reads 58-percent for Michigan, 28-percent for Alabama, 10-percent for Auburn, two-percent for Ohio State and two-percent for Clemson.

Gary has officially visited Michigan and still plans to officially visit Auburn November 28 when the Tigers host Alabama.

His final three official visits will take place this winter.

Gary said he's choosing between a host of programs for those final three spots.

"Ole Miss, LSU, Georgia, Clemson, Alabama, Notre Dame, USC - a couple schools like that," Gary said.

Friday night Paramus Catholic, N.J./Catholic dropped a 28-20 tilt to Bradenton, Fla./IMG Academy.

Michigan coach Jim Harbaugh, LSU assistants Ed Orgeron and Corey Raymond, Alabama assistants Bo Davis and Billy Napier, Ole Miss assistants Dan Werner and Chris Kiffin and Georgia assistant John Lilly were all at the game.

Gary said he has a good rapport with all of the coaches in attendance and more.

"Basically all of them because I try to talk to each and every coach that I'm considering," Gary said.

Gary took his first official visit, to Michigan, on the weekend of September 25.

"Food, education, family atmosphere. My mom got the chance to walk around the campus by herself. Everybody was friendly and liked to talk," Gary said of Michigan. "Up in (New) Jersey you don't get a lot of "hi's" so everybody was real friendly and answered her questions. They were very nice up there."

Michigan has an assortment of ties to Gary already on campus including Wolverines star defensive back Jabrill Peppers, who played at Paramus Catholic, and his former high school coach Chris Partridge is Michigan's Director of Player Personnel.

"I have a great connection there. When I'm there I feel at home because I'm with family," Gary said.

Michigan has verbal commits from three of the top eight prospects this cycle from New Jersey: Brad Hawkins, Ron Johnson and Ahmir Mitchell.

They are also in the lead group for Kareem Walker and Jordan Fuller.

"A lot of kids are moving to that program. They should be a problem in a couple of years," Gary said.

Gary unofficially visited LSU twice in July.

"Seeing coach (Orgeron at the game) means he has a lot of love for me," Gary said. "Him coming to watch me play means he has a lot of care for me."

Auburn, where he's already been, will get the next official visit.

"The defense. The food because I like to eat. The academics," Gary said of Auburn. "My mom felt very comfortable in being there. More as a student than even an athlete. That's very key in my recruitment process."

The five-star recruit is ranked as the nation's No. 1 defensive tackle and the No. 1 prospect in the country in the 2016 class by 247Sports.com Composite Rankings.

We could finish this class very, very strong. good to see there's been no drop off in recruiting from hoke to harbaugh, if anything a touch better...cause we're winning, which hoke couldn't sell to his recruits.

im concerned about linebacker though, we need to close out strong there.
