I got bored in spells too. It had really standout episodes and moments, but also some real slowdowns for me. I'd put Sandman in the same category with their live action Cowboy Bebop as recreation of can't-miss properties that wound up just being alright in my book. I don't think either series was bad, but I also feel like there's a huge missed opportunity if we look at the source material. That cupcake with too much frosting is a really good way to put it. They capture the aesthetics but the recipes are always missing an ingredient or two.p
That series bored me - I fell asleep multiple times off Sandman, it’s a chore to watch; one of those cases where the trailer came across much more scarier and horror intensive than the actual show. No lead character development at all - they put all the resources into CGI but slack off into investing in the role portrayals. They might as well rename this Slytherin and have Dobby make a guest appearance.
Netflix releases these days is like having a cupcake with too much frosting - it looks good upon the initial presentation but then you start to taste it, realizing you have to get through all the layers of frosting - finally when you do reach the cake, it’s not that flavorful and it starts to crumble - all that you’re left with is a sugar headache, thirst and dissatisfaction bc the creators focused on appearance and not the ingredients. Then they add all that unnecessary agenda ish into the mix which is like adding whipped cream on top of the frosting.. Like why add that extra unnecessary scoop to an already excessive presentation when they haven’t perfected the batter?
Same. I think it was shot to all look like one shot if I’m remembering correctly.I saw that the weekend it came out and I honestly can't remember anything about it except that Elizabeth Olsen was in it.
I been lurkin this thread for a minute
I love good horror movies/tv shows
This is my first recommendation
I didn't see a post for this show but this is a good horror show imo
The way they flipped the script with the latest Wrong Turn movie should be how other properties looking to reboot handle things instead of staying slavishly devoted to nostalgia.Same. I think it was shot to all look like one shot if I’m remembering correctly.
Finally watched that new wrong turn. Cool lil movie. More of these franchises releasing their sixth installment straight to Redbox need to think about going a different direction like wrong turn did.

I'm really enjoying the Pretty Little Liars reboot mainly because it has embraced the slasher horror aspects. That big slowful maniac is brutal when he decides to end someone for real.I never heard of this, but I'll definitely add it to my queue for checking out. I have horror movies to watch, but could use a good horror tv series...I'm not hating the slasher/pretty little liars mash-up but I haven't been enthusiastic enough to say much about it either. Between this joint and the Exorcist series I never watched, I'll get Hulu some extra burn.
Carpenter coming back to The Thing would be epic as hell.Apparently John Carpenter is eyeing a return to the director’s chair soon. I know his entries in the later half were less than desirable, but I’d love for him to helm the Thing sequel that Blumhouse and Universal had planned.
Modern audience needs to see just how great practical effects can be.
Happy early Halloween
