absolutely dull
like i mentioned in the sci fi thread , it has a great premise , but the middle just drags\
could have cut 30 minutes from this , it would have been better

Rhys is a soldier and a hunter living in a zombie infested wasteland. His job is to capture civilians and deliver them to what's left of the military and the brutal Surgeon General. When Rhys captures a half-zombie, half-human named Grace, he comes to believe she is the key to ending the apocalypse. Working with her sister, Maxi, he works to free Grace before she is subjected to horrible experiments

Next up - this movie is sad
This is one of those movies where they made the characters toooo likeable an unrelated tragedy occurs that affects the main character and now on top of that past trauma , the main caricatures have to deal with life threatening incidents. And the shark is stalking little black aboriginal Australian kids.

I don’t think I can finish watching bc I’m too connected to the characters- I don’t want to see any of them become shark bait or die - too much feels great movie so far though.

Movie is like, the mom and dad die offscreen, siblings die, and in order to heal, the main character goes on a retreat for peace of mind but ends up getting shark stalked. Like tragedy porn is the new horror genre.

I just watched the first Wyrmwood a few months back - this is on my watchlist as well

if its anything like the first , its probably full of fukkery and gore, which is just what i am looking for
and how i missed the first one, i have no clue - came out in like 2014 or something

Have y’all noticed a trend of actors/actresses whisper talking in horror movies??


This is the reason why I need to have close captions/subtitles on the screen. They need to stop- it doesn’t make the movie more interesting or thrilling. It either puts me to sleep if it’s slow paced bc the voices are too soothing lol or I start to mentally check out from the movie

And YouTube horror movie commenters are a special brand of special

The horror watch trailers are the only section where you see will comments like the above and Bible verses at the same time

Why do people think horror fans need redemption or talk at us like we are the embodiment of evil

- ironic bc the most caring, empathetic and rational minded people whom I know are fans of the genre

Not horror related but I had to peep this off the strength of the randomness of Christopher Walken in the trailer - it has a nice Mix of dark moments mixed with comedy - a decent watch. Thought it would be that corny brand of UK comedy but it’s not. Binged through season 1 and 2 without being bored

Going to watch it tonight after work. All the horror comedies I’ve seen so far have been pretty good.

Looks like Halloween Horror Nights is going even more all out with their scarehouses than years past. Loving it. Really want to check out that Blumhouse one.

I'm booked to go next month. I got the express pass early (because they increase in cost and sell out). Blumhouse with Freaky and the Black Phone themes has me hype. I'm also really stoked that they created a haunt that's supposed to be Dystopian Future Tunnels of NYC and the original Michael Myers house.

Edit: I just read they've added a Jordan Peele Haunt with Us and Nope themes too.
