There’s also another option: her role isn’t big enough for the studio to give her the money she wants and deserves. Not saying they’re right but I can see them determining check with screen time. Because I doubt they’re paying Courtney cox so much more money than neve.
If I Read one more comment or speculation about Neve not returning to Scream 6 in this thread. Smh. And what they fail to realize is that you can’t kill off or remove the franchise front runner and expect positive results. This has NEVER worked - you kill any essence of the movie. Then it might as well be an entirely different movie and take the “Scream” title off of it.

Paramount making dumb decisions about Neve Campbell will pull a Disney fail ®ret and do what Amber Heard did to Pirates of the Carribean without Johnny Depp. It’s getting ugly already. Kirby is not enough of a draw. 
People need a reminder of horror movies that failed when the main character is no longer a presence. No Neve is like Halloween without Jamie Lee Curtis, Hatchet without Victor Crawley/Kane Hodder, Black Dynamite without Cream Corn

Netflix really needs movies and shows that deliver or else they’re going out like a virtual version of Redbox. TUBI has better content than Netflix rn and I actually don’t mind sitting through a few short commercial spots there.

In a futuristic world, a regime has eliminated war by suppressing emotions: books, art and music are strictly forbidden and feeling is a crime punishable by death. Clerick John Preston (Christian Bale) is a top-ranking government agent responsible for destroying those who resist these rules. When he misses a dose of Prozium, a mind-altering drug that hinders emotion, Preston, who has been trained to enforce strict laws of the new regime, suddenly becomes the one capable of overthrowing it.

Interesting movie overall. I’m sure most people went into it thinking it was Matrix 2.5 but it has a lot of contexts that can apply in 2022, 20 years later with the predictions
