A Town Full of Ghosts

Mark and his wife Jenna sell everything they have to purchase a western ghost town called Blackwood Falls in the middle of nowhere. They plan to turn the ghost town into a tourist attraction with hotels, restaurants, and attractions. They hire a small film crew to document their journey and upload the videos to their video channel.

Is this out? I'm one of the few people that love found footage.

I loved Dashcam. I like that they went with a completely hateable lead. It made the shyt way more enjoyable as opposed to just having the typical bland neutral lead. Having zero sympathy for the lead was a new dynamic, at least for me.

Part of me think this is her negotiating in public. So I won’t be shocked if they solve this. There’s also the chance they look at fan reaction on socials and gauge it. If a majority of the vocal fanbase doesn’t care, they won’t blink.

Going off a very quick twitter peruse, it’s a mix. Some fans aren’t happy while others are like “meh. She earned her retirement in the last one”

I always thought that Sidney should've had her swan song in Scream 4 but since they didn't do that I considered how they set up her idyllic life in Scream 5 with the husband and kids as a good way to let her ride off into the sunset and live happily ever after.
But it is more trouble than its worth to try to shoehorn Sidney into any new Scream movies because there are only two options to do it:

1. Gayle is killed by the new Ghostface and Sidney shows up to avenge her homie which is basically just redoing how they got her involved in Scream 4

2. Have some random Gen Z weirdo decide to put on the Ghostface mask and target a middle-aged wife+mother for "reasons".

So they need to let Sidney go and focus on the new class of characters with Gayle involved because her job in the media makes her automatically tied to any story involving a Ghostface killer.

Literally 95% of comments are saying bring Sydney back bc she’s an icon of the franchise and deserves it.

    I love the Scream movies and it just would not be the same without her period !!!
    I didn’t care for the new cast in the last movie and to be honest, it kind of sucked…….

  A few possibilities she said she wouldn’t return if they planned on killing her off. She was the main person in the series for 20 plus years and the last movie made more money than projected. She is filming two tv shows and probably didn’t want to make the time if they didn’t offer what she deserves. It sucks but I don’t blame her

    If this was a male-led franchise, the lead actor would be paid accordingly. Clearly that’s not what happened her. She has every right to be annoyed at a bad offer.
