He didn't have the strength cuz he was moving backwards for 5 rds N ate 120 clean punches before Canelo ever got tired N went to the ropes :hhh:

There was nothing smart about that game plan...whats worst is daddy is always all up in the video...shytting on Robert Garcia training etc...but he thought outbox Canelo brilliant!!:ehh: too...i honestly believe they (nacho N Sr) had no faith in jccjr N prepared him to not get knocked out, not to win

lol I was about to :camby: this post....I thought it was a fake Choc bc of the avi/sig, and then remembered you agreed to one of them silly bets:snoop:

Anyways, the Canelo/Chavez thing is over, so I can be real about Chavez again:ehh: I think it will be interesting moving forward with Chavez & Nacho + Memo, bc I think Chavez can win a belt at 168 and his physicality will be better when he doesn't have to drain so far. I read that he started at 215 and went all the way down to 164...that's 51 pounds in 4 months:wow:

Chavez vs Zurdo is still a decent sized fight that can happen down the line as well, but Chavez is going to have to rebuild his image after Saturday's L.

I don't think it's over for JCC Jr just yet. That was their first fight together....even Wlad got KOd in his first fight with Emmanuel Steward:manny:

*edit* and oh yeah, he gonna need to keep Sr outta the picture. He's almost a detriment to Chavez' image in the Boxing world, because everyone knows he doesn't compare to him (even Jr himself)...but that's all people do. They compare Jr to Sr over and over again, which makes him looked at with even more hatred than normal.

Luis Ortiz Threatens Legal Action if Anthony Joshua is Not Next!

By Ryan Burton

Unbeaten number #1 heavyweight contender Luis "King King" Ortiz is chomping at the bit to get in the ring with WBA/IBF/IBO heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua.

On April 29th Joshua climbed off the canvas to stop Wladimir Klitschko in 11 rounds in one of the most exciting heavyweight title fights of the past decade.

After the fight, Ortiz spoke exclusively to BoxingScene.com to remind the Brit that the WBA mandated him to face him in his next fight.

"I congratulate the young man for courage but I'm next and that is that. Look, my team let that fight happen because the WBA and Eddie Hearn asked us for a favor and because Klitschko didn't want to fight me but I'm done being pushed back. It's my time and I want my WBA belt so yeah I'm calling Joshua out. If he likes he can just give up the belt but if not then October or November sounds good to me so it's your move boy. To be he best you have to fight the best," Ortiz had previously told BoxingScene.com.

Just before the Klitschko fight the WBA changed course and stated that they may grant the winner of the fight a "special permit" to make one more voluntary defense before facing Ortiz. Joshua also has an IBF mandatory due against Kubrat Pulev which muddles the situation even more.

After stopping Klitschko, Joshua mentioning giving Klitschko a rematch and also facing Tyson Fury.
Klitschko, who has the right to a contractually negotiated rematch, has yet to say if he plans to exercise it.

The 38-year-old Ortiz is obviously not a happy camper with the whole situation and after stepping side to allow Joshua-Klitschko to go through, is threatening legal action if his next fight isn't for the WBA title.

"I'm ready for the biggest fight of my life and it's not with regular opponents but with no other than the world ranking of the WBA. Look, if they think I'm going to fold they must be smoking some good sh*t. I've come too far. I've struggled too much in my life and starved one too many times in Cuba as a kid, eating only bread and water to stop now. I endured too much having to cross the dangerous waters of the Gulf to make it to the US for freedom for me and my sick little girl to now get bullied by anyone," Ortiz told BoxingScene.com.

"Look, boxing is a sport not just a business and it's not fair to me if they allow Joshua to get special treatment because someone is dishing out money. My team convinced me to let the WBA move on with the resolution because of lawsuits that were coming at (WBA President) Mendoza so I agreed on the WBA terms so they told the world and me that I was next no matter what the IBF was asking. Remember, I was the interim champ. The only reason for not fighting Ustinov was they didn't want to drug test and that was in the bylaws of WBA so I was cleared by my attorneys. All I want is to be treated fair. I'm not asking for what's not mine."

josh will easily rematch wlad again and make big money again rather than match Ortiz.

plus he will get sued by wlad if he doesn't honor rematch clause......so might as well make big money and let Ortiz have that belt.

if no wlad rematch then Ortiz would be great. but then pulev would be mad.....

@Newzz u might have ur wish:russ:.....vitali might come back to avenge wlad....but can he beat josh????

Joshua, Vitali Klitschko Nearly Brawled After Fight, Says Hearn

According to promoter Eddie Hearn of Matchroom Sport, there was a near brawl last month between IBF, IBO, WBA heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua and retired former beltholder Vitali Klitschko - in the aftermath of younger brother Wladimir Klitschko's stoppage loss to Joshua before a record crowd of 90,000 at Wembley.

Apparently, Joshua and Vitali had words when Joshua came over to speak to Wladimir when the contest concluded.

"Once he’s in that mode, he’s a nasty, horrible man in that ring. Outside the ring, one of the nicest guys you could meet, inside it – horrible. He and Vitali nearly came to blows after the fight. He went over to Wladimir and thanked him and Josh was tired and he went on and on, ‘seriously man,’ talking about the fight, and Vitali was like ‘alright, alright’ [Hearn stretches his arm across as if pushing someone away] and Josh was like ‘f*** you.’ But Vitali can handle himself, he’s not exactly a pushover," Hearn told Boxing News.

Demetrius Hopkins was a good fighter...i remember thinking he got jobbed against **** for ****'s belt. He gave a gutcheck to one of the Charlos too.

Yeah I thought he deserved the nod against **** too. He was a bit boring for my taste, but he had a solid jab and some pretty decent footwork.

He wasn't much of a puncher either but considering the champs at that time were the likes of timmy and paulie malignaggi..that was no issue lol
