Pacman has 61 fights and Floyd has 43... They should have reduced his fights to one per year after that Cotto fight. Even tho he won cotto hit him with some good shots. He's done. That punch in the third round that knocked him down would have never knocked him down before. He might be Roy jones status now.

Cotto never wanted May at his 140 peak. He kept getting knocked down here and there and only fought Arthur Abraham style. Power punches and the rest of the round off due to weight issues. Don't blame him tbh.

I remember my dream fight in 05/06 was Hatton vs Gatti

And it was so close to happening, at MSG :ohlawd: I was saving up for that one brehs.
agreed. I think Arum knew not to waste Cotto too early, there was still money to be made from the Puerto Rican power punching Olympian.

A lot of people wanted to see Hatton/Gatti just for the sheer fireworks but Mayweather fukked that all up

I really wanted to see Tszyu/Mayweather but Hatton fukked that all up :to:

I never really saw Cotto as a top guy at 140 anyway, not saying he couldn't have put up a good fight, I just wasn't sold on him and thought he was weight managing more so than improving his skills :ld:

nikkkas seen this shyt miles away.

rios is #1 , while alvardo is #2 in the wbo rankings, make sense for them to rematch for the wbo title now. i dont mid the but i think rios stops him again.

If Alvarado boxes him he beats Rios easily like he was doing in the first fight, before he got sucked into a slugfest

I would rather Floyd not fight the nikka at all if he not gonna fight the guy In the weight class of their prime... And no, I wouldn't say Floyd ducked hatton had he never fought him, but at the end of the day you cant call yourself the GOAT and not be willing to take any risks in the sport of boxing. Floyd was only 150 in his fight vs ODLH.... He could've at least met the dude half way like in his fight vs Marquez...... Oh wait :heh:

Hatton wasn't right after Pacquiao put his ass in the hospital. Dude had two strong wins before he fought Pac and supposedly didn't cut weight properly....Yall talk like Floyd took his soul or something... That punch that Hatton got hit with in the 2nd round woulda put anyone in that division to sleep

coming from a pacquaio fan is just:mindblown:
your saying u wouldn't of said he was ducking (which im pretty sure is bullshyt)
but the general boxing community (brain Kenny as well) was callin for da fight and saying mayweather was ducking
he takes da fight and as usual its a whole nother story after the fact

do you not realize that mayweather is the favourite no matter who he fights?

this double standards involving mayweather are hilarious
and just for da record, mayweather was probably at his best at 140
he woulda beat hatton even worst at dat weight
going down to 140 for him at dat time was just retarded
hatton had no problem going up and mayweather or not was planning to go up anyway
just pitiful excuses

Man, fukk a Brian Kenny and the rest of the boxing community thoughts... My thoughts and opinion is my own....

As far as double standards go, I say like I said earlier, Floyd and his stans scream hes the GOAT... the best that ever done it, so yea I hold him to a higher standard.. so it aint bullshyt :manny:

This whole conversation started when giddyup said its funny Floyd don't get full credit for fighting Hatton... and its simple bro.. He didn't fight Hatton in his prime division, and he went out of his way to fight him after he looked like shyt at 147 and went back down to 140 and this is all while ducking Cotto and Margs... Like someone mentioned earlier it wasn't either of their fault that they missed each other during Hatton's prime, that's just the way it played out... And no I wouldn't expect Floyd to drop down to 140 for the fight, but he coulda met him halfway like when he fought Marquez.... Oh yeah that's right I keep forgetting :skip:

what you fail to understand (or chose not to understand) is that Floyd challenged hatton cotto mosley and pretty much every relevant top fighter to fight and they all ducked:pachaha:
all of this is on record
no one wanted any parts of mayweather until he became a superstar and started making all dis money
all these guys he's scared of or ducked apparently are bob arum fighters
at what point are u gonna understand (whether u think its Floyd's fault or whether u think it's arum's fault) that arum and Floyd hate eachother's guts and are not willin to work with one another?

cheato had no chance against mayweather, even with loaded gloves. any good boxer with sense can beat him.

mayweather came in over the weight limit against marquez but have u ever heard marquez ask for a rematch? he already said mayweather is too good and u that you need 2 fighters to beat him. anyone who watched dat fight can see weight wasn't the issue, mayweather was just way more skilled.

Am I only one who hopes Teddy Atlas lives forever.

I just heard his New Years resolution for boxing and it had me like :to:

His bluntness needs more apprecitiation.

Also the odd way he gushes over large black fighters is hilarious :pachaha:

The Professor Griff of Boxing

His Olympic commentary was crazy,

He literally gave no fukks.

It was that moment when I realized Atlas was a gangster.

I'm still surprised AIBA hasn't sent them goons at his door.

God Bless Teddy Atlas :salute:

Canelo Alvarez Update

By Gabriel F. Cordero

A important source has informed Fightnews.com that Mexican idol Saul Alvarez has not yet signed a contract for the May 4 Golden Boy Promotions events at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where it is rumored that he could face WBA super welterweight champion Austin Trout. The source indicates that the fight is expected to be finalized in the next few days, but apparently hinges on a possible fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr on September 14. The source further states that if Golden Boy can’t assure the bout against Mayweather then Alvarez may prefer another date in the U.S. or even fight in Mexico. Canelo’s manager Eddy Reynoso is already on the record saying that Alvarez could defend his crown in Mexico with the support of HBO

:bryan: at bytch ass Canelo, he would only fight a legit 154 pounder, if he's promised a WW for september:pacspit:
