He can't beat him at 160...but why say you will fight him at 160, to only drop the belt 2 weeks later

If Adrien Broner can fight Marcos Maidana at the full Welterweight limit and not drop the WBA belt, then Canelo (who just SAID he'd fight lil g at 160) can fight lil g at 160 like he said he would because he's "Mexican, and we don't fukk around"

i been told yall ggg beats anyone at 160. canelo is gonna do what i said he was gonna do even before he beat cotto.



he either is gonna drag lil g down to 155 or 97g is gonna have to wait until canelo decided to fight at 160




if the fight doesnt happen blame the eurocac with damn near no fanbase who refuses to bow down to the biggest draw in the sport

Team Canelo dropping the belt was to be expected. His team just isn't interested in making the fight right now. Like I said before, GGG is 34 years old. They will let him age some more. I can see it happening in a couple of years. Maybe even late next year. What GGG has going for him is that he is the 2nd most popular middleweight behind Canelo. At 154-160, the "names" just aren't there, so its only a matter of time. It's gonna eventually be a situation where the best fighters in the division make the most sense & present the best option.

Canelo is in a situation where he's physically too big for the fights he wants/needs. At 140-147, you can make real good money picking & choosing. You can fight an over the hill judah, turn around & fight a Berto, oh there's a guerrero, how about algeri, let me fight a Brandon Rios, etc. ''

They are gonna keep this 155 thing going until they can't.

exactly if canelo fights anyone outside of lil g the fans are gonna bytch, he might as well get paid. and the biggest paydays he has made so far are with welterweights. like roy jones jr said, if canleo was smart i would fight pacquaio THEN move up to 160 and challenge lil g

there was only 3 days left to come to an agreement. wbc said canelo would HAVE to drop the belt if a deal is not done by then which we already knew it wouldn't be. goldenboy was not letting this go to a purse bid. loeffler said goldenboy stuck to their word and dropped the belt and they haven't made any crazy weight demands. he said so far negotiations have been going great.

superstars don't give two shyts about belts nowadays. to every other fighter superstars ARE the belt....they're the prize. as you see little g's team still wants canelo....they never gave a fukk about the belt. this was canelo throwing away any leverage little g had. he can no longer call him a middleweight because he holds no belt there anymore. canelo's last fight was at 155. and yes, canelo said he would fight him at 160....that's when he had the belt. but he doesn't anymore.....he left little g and his team with no leverage to complain about weight now.



this fight was NEVER going to be made in 15 days. canelo was gonna be forced to drop the belt no matter if he agreed to 160 or not. i'm sure the purse split is gonna be another huge obstacle to overcome.

You act like Andrade , Lara, GGG, poss JROCK, maybe BATB , Thurman, shidd maybe even lemieux wouldn't have that same record in the last 3 years with that same comp.

The only reason they fought Canelo cause he was a propped up Mexican star and they got a pretty penny off of it. The only tough fight that Canelo took was the Lara fight and he barely won that only cuz Lara ran too much. Canelo was like the 4th biggest star in boxing at the time , ain't nobody turning down that fight with him, nobody.

His resume really ain't hitting on shyt if you look at who he fought. Once you in that top5 marketing spot in boxing you can fight anybody therefore you have the opportunity to fluff up your resume on name fighters.

Yea you right we will never know but I was trying to get at is that since Canelo has a major push and all the Mexicans behind him he has the funds and the potential views to entice people to fight him most of the other guys don't..I just think Canelo just gets too much credit for his resume. Yea so hes good enough to beat to edge Cotto(so was trout) I feel like he only took 1 risk and that's Lara to me.



Trout doesn't count cause every 154 and they mama wants to fight him.
