In 1973 Reggie Jackson led the AL in HR with 32.
D*ick Allen led the AL with 32 in 1974.
Graig Nettles led the AL with 32 in 1976.

Since then, no player has led either league in HR with fewer than 35 HR.

A bunch of guys came under that in 1981 but it was a strike year.

Fred McGriff had 35 HR in 1992.

The last time someone led any league in HR with under 30 HR was 1946 when Ralph Kiner led the NL with 23. He was a rookie that year, too.

Shawn Estes had a 13 year career.

He had a 4.71 ERA.
His career WHIP was 1.529. That's not a typo.
1.529.

In 2004 he walked 131 batters.
Blake Snell led the league with 99 last year.

Estes was never the same after Sandy Alomar took him deep in that All Star game at Jacobs Field
I had to listen to Chris Russo talk about his fall off every day for a good 5 years.

Everything was going right for Estes in 97', had a breakout year, made the AS Team, was 12-2 going into the AS break, threw 8.2IP of scoreless ball and 1 hit against Colorado right before, and for whatever reason that dinger from Alomar shattered his world.

I think Lindor is on a golden sombrero tonight, or at least 3 K's , and his sub-Mendoza-line average, how many more years we got left on that contract? :skip:

Breh hasn't hit this whole series and I look up yesterday in one of my fantasy leagues and he got my opponent 2 SBs.

Started this docuseries on Peacock about the 1990 Yankees. Man that team was garbage, and this fool Mel Hall was out there a grown ass man going to school dances with A MINOR that was 16. They put this shyt in the Yankees yearbook of like yeah we should document this for everyone to see.

:what:
