Milroe is not a QB. He’s a playmaker.

Milroe didn’t have a short leash, he’s a turnover machine and as bad as Buchner and Ty Simpson were they don’t turn the ball over

No QB can thrive with the way out line is playing

@Numpsay
Buchner and Simpson can't move the ball either. Milroe may turn it over but he is also going to make plays, sustain drives, and put points on the board. Texas as a very good defense and despite throwing 2 picks he put 24 points on the board. Buchner and Simpson struggled scoring 17 against South Florida, how do you think it's going to go when they play better defenses? With an OL that bad you need a QB that can make off schedule plays, that is Milroe and neither of those 2 cacs.

Nah Milroe ain’t as bad Buchner. Buchner might be the worst QB in all of D1

No I’m not saying they have a Derrick Henry there’s only one of those, I meant they just need to go back to those days of running it a million times just by committee including Milroe
They tried we saw that against Texas, they was commited to the but when you one dimensional and your oline is mid you can just put extra players in the box

You’re overrating Milroe. He took terrible sacks. Inaccurate and is the primary reason we lost the Texas game

Buchner is unplayable.

Milroe has like 6 turnovers in 2 starts against P5 times

What do you think Buchner or Simpson would have did against Texas? They probably wouldn't have even crossed the 50 yd line once. Both looked much worse against inferior competition. Bama scores 40 against South Florida with Milroe at QB. Milroe will be QB1 again soon enough.

Schooling people takes forever; don't bother
You didn’t watch it this season?
I saw it, but i guess for the 2020 XFL season, they had more story lines about their star players, making you feel like you had a vested interest in them succeeding into the next level, and they had several relatively known QBs that made the game exciting with over 400+ yards per game who made it to NFL rosters the next year...There was actually parity in the teams where you felt like any team could have won, and bob stoops with his HC experience didn't win by default -- you were just watching the games for the sake of it being a close good game with great comebacks instead of one team that somehow had a more stacked roster and was the dominant favorite all season

the XFL relaunch by The Rock made it felt more corporate: The players weren't living in the cities that they played in, so they were kinda disconnected from the community that they played for, where both the visiting and home team had to get on the same plane back to Arlington, TX, and the fans didn't cheer as hard for the perception of these fly-by-night mercenary players. Some major city hubs had their teams removed like in LA and NY because of expenses and some teams had their home field as some soccer field, some high school sports arena, or booked some dilapidated nondescript non-football arena last minute, where the field had dying grass all over the field that didn't make an entertaining game when the players weren't at full speed and were more cautious about not getting their cleats stuck in the turf or hitting a chain link fence the minute they run out of bounds to catch an errant throw.

The 2023 XFL QBs didn't really show that much fireworks in throwing ability, where some games looked like a glorified scrimmage, and people just bandwagoned onto AJ McCarron from his Bama days, of him stepping down from being a backup in the NFL to play XFL, despite him throwing picks and randomly still winning the game, instead of rooting for dark horse players with relatively unknown origins, or that person who should have made a NFL roster but didn't get enough footage in college to deserve a 2nd look -- The Rock made it a big deal to recruit from HBCUs when Deion Sanders was at Jackson State, and HBCUs certainly had underrated talent but then the NFL also reacted to this and had a HBCU pro day that year, and I don't recall which HBCU player made the final rosters in the NFL/XFL that season. The team logos and names were changed slightly or the teams moved cities leaving the previous 2020 fans astray, because they were disgruntled with the name change or was left without a team in their city, where Texas had 3 XFL teams because of low costs but that just makes the XFL seem more regionally driven by states with no income tax like Nevada, Florida, Washington, Texas instead of ambitiously making it nationwide to capture the bigger football watching audience

Prior, the cities chosen by the 2020 XFL had several star players who previously represented that region in college or high school and the local fanbase already knew about them and naturally rooted for homegrown familiarity in talent instead of having the roster look like displaced mercenaries from all over the country. The players still played for the love of the game but a decent amount of incentives changed, even though the players were paid better and had accommodated housing, which was nice -- Overall, the purity for the love of the game by tapping into each regional market had to be compromised with balancing the checkbook, and corporate tactics got in the way of carefree entertainment value. The NFL was blatantly copying some strategies and poaching away their best players players from the XFL. The leftover talent was dispersed into the USFL/arena football/overseas/canada. The Rock's star power and narrative to buy the XFL sometimes overshadowed highlighting the players and their story. The XFL didn't do enough to differentiate that the spirit of their league was different outside of some rules changes, it being played on TV in the spring, and going for 3 -- some of these leagues need to merge so the leftover talent pool is better....also, them banning the fans from creating the beer snake in several stadiums that became a tradition from the 2020 season made it seem like the XFL was more buttoned up, less zany, and anti-fun, but more probably because of the fear of spreading covid to make the headlines

with the transfer portal of being able to play immediately to gain extra game tape for a breakout year, that extra covid year, and NIL where players can make money squatting in college to hone their craft, there wouldn't be as much overlooked talent who didn't make the NFL as before, where the 2020 XFL has a great rosters and quarterbacking because they caught all the talent the NFL didn't take and not so much after the NCAA changed all these rules

Bama does not score 40 with Milroe at QB. What are you basing this on? The 2 deep balls hit connected with against Texas?
