Pryor at practice, McFadden sidelined

The Raiders injury situation is a mixed bag in terms of who was able to practice Wednesday. Most important for the Raiders, quarterback Terrelle Pyror is on the field and showing no lingering effects from the right knee injury he suffered against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday.
Running back Darren McFadden, wide receiver Juron Criner, offensive tackle Matt McCants and linebacker Kaluka Maiava are hurt badly enough to where they aren’t cleared to practice.
McFadden isn’t even on the field watching, whereas Criner, McCants and Maiava are present. Criner’s right shoulder is in a sling as a result of the injury he received in the Eagles game.
On the bright side, wide receiver Rod Streater and kicker Sebastian Janikowski are at practice and doing everything asked of them, at least in the early portion of practice, which bodes well for their playing Sunday against the New York Giants.
Also, receiver Andre Holmes is back on the field and healed enough to give his injured hamstring injury a test drive. He tweaked his hamstring in practice last week and wasn’t able to play against the Eagles.
Finally, backup offensive lineman Andre Gurode is on the practice field after missing significant time since he injured a quadriceps last month.

– Right offensive tackle Tony Pashos still hasn’t been cleared to practice. Therefore, it appears as if rookie Menelik Watson is in line to make his first NFL start Sunday, given Pashos and backup McCants aren’t even healthy enough to practice yet.
Watson replaced McCants early in the Eagles game and fared well in his first action in a regular-season game. He missed most of training camp with a calf injury and most of the first half of the regular season with knee and calf injuries.

– The Raiders worked out defensive ends Chris McCoy and Jermaine Cunningham and defensive tackles Frank Kearse and Will Tukuafu on Tuesday.
Cunningham and Tukuafu spent time with the 49ers this season. None of the four was signed by the Raiders. The fact they worked out all defensive linemen shows that there’s concern about the lack of pressure and depth at both positions.
