Major commitment, again: No. 3 RB Damien Harris continues Michigan's recruiting bonanza
ANN ARBOR -- The No. 1 receiver in America committed to Michigan's 2015 class on Saturday.
Two days later, the No. 3 tailback joined him.
Scout reported Monday that Madison Southern (Ky.) star Damien Harris has committed to the Wolverines. The 5-foot-11, 210-pound Harris is ranked the
No. 3 tailback in the country by ESPN, and the 20th player overall.
Big Ten titles have eluded Brady Hoke -- but he improves his odds of ending the drought with each five-star prospect who commits. And now he has another.Associated Press
Harris' pledge comes just two days afte
r Michigan received a commitment from George Campbell, ESPN's early No. 1 receiver in the country for 2015. Both players are ranked among ESPN's top 20 players overall.
Harris is the second top-three tailback to commit to Michigan this year. Derrick Green, the No. 1 back in the 2013 class, committed in January.
The Wolverines' 2015 offense
now faces the prospects of having two top-three tailbacks in the backfield, as well as a top-five quarterback in Shane Morris, top-five receivers in Campbell and Drake Harris -- not to mention a 2013 offensive line class that ranked No. 1 in the country.
Michigan's 2015 class now numbers four players, with Harris joining Campbell, offensive lineman Jon Runyan Jr. and kicker Andrew David.
