We've talked a lot about the effects that a Jabrill Peppers commitment to Michigan may have, and five-star cornerback Adoree' Jackson (Gardena, CA/Serra) is someone who is starting to listen a little bit harder to what the Wolverines have to say.

"I thought about that when I talked to Jabrill before he committed to Michigan," Jackson said. "We've talked about playing with each other for a while. Now that he's committed there and is a part of it, he's just trying to get me up there as well."
Another thing he's noticed is the level of athlete the Wolverines have been recruiting, and that's not strictly Peppers. As most are beginning to maybe believe, the coaching staff is building something special in Ann Arbor.
"It's definitely something that is making Michigan more attractive," he said. "They must be doing something right, and it makes you curious as to what they're doing so well that makes all these big-time athletes want to commit to the school. It makes you want to go see it for yourself."
Jackson has talked for a while about possibly visiting the Midwest this summer (he was born and raised in Belleville, IL), and right now it looks like there's a good possibility that it will happen.
"Yeah, it's a possibility," he said. "At the end of July, I think I should be up there for sure."
Yesterday, the Wolverine coaching staff was at Serra to check in on Jackson, his linebacker teammate Dwight Williams and a host of prospects at the loaded program. Jackson made a phone call last night to Coach Mattison.
"He was just telling me that they like what they see and they gave me a visual of what to expect when I come to visit Michigan," Jackson said. "He said when I get there and when I come down that tunnel, be ready to lock it down. He said he wants to put the best players on the field, regardless of class, and also talked to me about finding ways to get me on the field offensively as well."
One thing oftentimes connected to Jackson is his love for track. He's a state-champion long jumper and wants to be a two-sport athlete regardless of where he ends up in college. It's something he wants to learn more about when he gets to Michigan.
"Michigan said I wouldn't be able to run track my freshman season, but that they would be fine with it otherwise," he said. "When I come down, I am going to talk with their track people to get a better idea of the program and stuff like that. I just want to see it for myself and what they have to offer in that area."
Jackson is one of the top football players in the country and would give Michigan another shutdown corner to go alongside Jabrill Peppers. He is a five-star according to the 247Composite and 247Sports and holds offers from pretty much every major program in the country. LSU, Florida, USC and UCLA are widely considered the schools most likely to give Michigan a major challenge for his services.
