What’s interesting to me is that the ratings for ESPN games are down 25-30% but TNT from what I understand only has like a 1-2% drop

Wondering what the difference is. Is it that TNT just has had a better selection of games? Is it because TNT games can also be streamed on Max? Inside the NBA still drawing people in? Has to be an explanation for why one is down significantly and the other is almost the same

The heights
People are going to laugh at me now but I can see spring football (UFL) taking over the spring and early summer if the NBA doesn't get its act together

And youth football participation has gone back up

It's going to be a lot of lower middle class black and white and poor black and white kids playing football instead of basketball for the reasons the tweet mentioned basketball is too Expensive now and in the future unless the nfl add more teams it will be more players looking for a Professional football career so more good players will be in the UFL and the league is talking about Expansion I am not a NBA hater I used to love the league but I can definitely see this happening especially if euros Continue to take over the league i see cacs and a lot of niqqas down south saying fukk the NBA let me watch a player from the college I root for in the UFL play

ESPN's packaging of the product is awful...from the pre-game shows, the lack of post game show, the overall commentating crews being new and dry.

TNT has Harlan & Eagle (2 of the top 3 lead commentators for the NBA), Inside obviously, decent color commentators (even Reggie isn't as bad as he used to be)....watching the NBA is far more enjoyable on TNT than ESPN...I'd even rather watch it on local broadcast & NBATV over ESPN at this point.

Add on to ESPN’s list that games don’t start until 15-20 min after the listed time

The issue with this is how do you sell foreign stars to an increasingly xenophobic American audience?

The NBA became what it did due to MJ, Magic, & Bird but it's time to switch to marketing teams. It'll be difficult and will take time but with the global growth of the game, it's just how it has to be at this point.

Y’all can’t see that all this “NBA is done” talk is just people fishing for likes on twitter, cause they know that site is a nazi shythole that still holds a grudge over the anthem kneeling in the bubble.

The nba cup should be its own thing with it not being included with the regular season. The number of games stay the same (82 games) but it does not go into regular season W-L that way you can kill 2 birds with one stone you get a mini playoffs that is more impactful and the regular season wins now matter more.

Plus get rid of the play in gimmick.

Seems easy to implement but they wont do it...

Strongly disagree…that muhfukka’s game is beautiful …he’s a direct descendant of the great highly skilled shooting gawds…as a personality he’s boring, but his GAME?!? shiiiiiit

His game might be smooth and beautiful but it's not exciting. Nothing in this clip made me wanna hit the rewind button or make sure I tune in to the next OKC game.

I still like the league. But something needs to change the vibe is just too negative among fans and media right now. Would never see this in the NFL or MLB

shyt they can barely sell the American players right now

And selling teams will always be an uphill battle off GP because of the NBA media’s disdain for their medium and small market teams. Hard to ask people to be invested in squads you openly don’t want to be good
