You are just mad that it's not on the XBOX One.

Nothing to see here.
As soon as I saw the thread and who started it I was like "Ohhhhhh boy.....here we go."

I would have almost been disappointed if it hadn't been created.

ESport is only one part of the genre. There's literally just a couple thousand people that compete and attend these events.

Millions of people play fighting games outside of the tournament scene.
It's not jus bout the playing
It's about the audience
Why do u think lupe vs daigo was such an event?
Do u think lupe vs mango would garner the same attention?
Or lupe vs perfectlegend?
Nah, u know why?
Because sf is the game that has the most notoriety when it comes to competitive fighting gaming
This in turn makes spectator events in Street fighter attract more mainstream and spectator eyes to the genre
Mk and smash didn't do that

tournament audience is very small.

casual audience is much larger.

Casual audience is more important for the viability of the genre

No idea whatsoever. But c'mon.....regardless of reviews, we all knew this thread was coming Meach.
no it absolutely was not.

there are literally dozens of PS4/PC games out.

Im not making threads for those games.:stopitslime:

This is just projection from yall. This is the game yall decided to prop up as a "ps4 exclusive" so now yall se any criticism as "console wars"

So now, everyone who doesn't want to put hundreds of hours into the game is a scrub and doesn't deserve to get their money's worth?

:stopitslime:
By definition, putting hours into mastering the game is what a scrub would not do. :sas1:

Thus, they can pay the "unlock all" tax and call it a day. :sas2:

Casual audience is more important for the viability of the genre
Who do you think kept Street Fighter alive that period between 2 and 3 and the crappy ass 3D iterations? the casual crowd? Casuals didn't give a fukk about 3 until third strike if at all.

The competitive scene kept it alive, drove hardware sales for consoles and arcade sticks.

Maybe you'll take it from him before me.

If you can't see how shytting on casuals is bad for this series, then I don't know what to tell you :manny:

Breh said MK and Smash bros :laff:

MK was dead in the water ever since it went 3D (before MK 9), and Smash Bros is still niche. Before SF4 came out in 2008 the fighting game genre were in the dark ages.
I'm saying though :mjlol:

SF4 was a godsend in that fact that it just worked, Capcom was running out of chances with SF. MK, like you said, was fukking RIP until 9... making shyt like MK vs DC :dahell:

Smash thrives from the competitive scene and since Nintendo doesn't fukking have many options (see Wii U) of course owners of the console will flock to Smash, one of the only fighting games on the system.
