it's amazing to hear a black person say they support american imperialism. that's supporting invading and distabalizing other countries to steal their wealth. while the same person blames african and arabic countries for "not participating in world economics" and "lack of education" according to the books written by devils.
do you think those devils think you're any special?

@theworldismine13 you don't know who i'm talkin about do you :stopitslime:

it just depends on your point of view, for example why would any black person align themselves with arabs, those are people that invaded north africa, last time i checked that was called imperialism, and what black person in their right mind would follow an arab that calls himself the king of kings of africa, is that not the height of c00nery?

and there you have it, you are making geo political opinions based on swag, just the fact that you feel good about being embraced by a non black person and that you along with the clowns in the picture think they are moving up in the world is c00nish to the nth degree

but anyways i make geopolitical opinions based in individual freedom, and under that obama getting rid if the bummy as dictator was one of the best things he ever did, i respect lumumba but he was not the most important assassination of the 20th century, that is just hyperbole

Going back on topic here, I said this before that the 60s were some of the worst times in American History. The one thing not being mentioned with him being killed is the natural resources of Congo. Keep in mind that the Congo is where Uranium was mined for the first nuclear weapons. Hiroshima and Nagasaki come back to this place :banderas:.

Lumumba wanting to change policies may not have been the issue, but siding with Russia is. If Russians get those uranium mines it's a devastating to the US, so Lumumba has to die. Crazy thing is his death in January of '61 probably set in motion Bay of Pigs in April of that year. How close the world came to ending during this time...

elaborate on the bay of pigs, havent recapped on that since shool

Props to OP. I wouldda made this thread

I actually went to a tribute to Lumumba the same day

I cant tell if you're trolling or not

@Hawaiian Punch dropping knowledge

I'd also like to say, remember when "they" were in Mali last year? Uranium :whoo:
I'm definitely not trolling and I think Obama has done a very good job in African issues, getting rid of Ghadaffi was one of them, it won't happen overnight but the era of the African dictator is over for anybody reading the tea leaves and Obama has laid the groundwork for that

Well in a nutshell bay of pigs was a failed attempt by the CIA to kill and overthrow Castro. The failure of that strengthened Castro and led to greater ties with the Soviet Union. This eventually culminated in the Cuban missile crisis (soviets trying to have a nuclear stockade in Cuba), which is the closest the world came to ending since World War 2. Cuba, Congo, Vietnam and Korea are all examples of the extreme imperialist attitudes the US has and the lengths they will go to protect their interests.

That's why to me the narrative of Lumumba must include discussion of the Cold War and his place within that.

It also pains me to no end how the Congo has, and still is, manipulated. Tens of millions of lives have been lost through the slave labor atrocities of King Leopold and the forced destabilization of the region by US and Belgian forces. Aside from uranium the bigger issue at play to me now is the mining of coltan. The largest reserves of coltan are found in the Congo, and it's a key component to mobile phones. This entire area is being forcefully destabilized to allow for conflict minerals to be sold at cheaper costs to fund weapons for rebels, who are most likely backed by US. This area is being raped and pillaged for its natural resources, and when a leader like Lumumba is smart enough to realize that we need to unite and use these resources to better our people, they are killed off. What do you do brehs? How do you solve and unsolvable situation?

there is no democracy in the united states. barack wasn't even elected by the ppl. so let's not talk about democracy.

Well there is some level of democracy since you are able to insult the president freely, were Libyans allowed to insult their leaders so freely?

:dahellshades:
You really believe this?:cachaha:. Dude Libya was a chief exporter of petroleum and that's the only reason the US gave a fukk. It's not like the US is interested in the atrocities committed in the resource poor areas of sub Saharan Africa. The new conflict now is securing oil reserves against the Chinese. That's the new Cold War breh, only this time we got beef with people we owe a lot of money to.
