It's not a unique story. That shyt happened all over Africa, especially in places with lots of natural resources (that's why whites didn't leave South Africa).
Nobody knows how Lumumba would've turn out though... Just look at Mugabe :to:
:stopitslime: you read the article about the real reasons why Africa is the way it is, due to outside manipulation, but yet you still want to blame Mugabe. You dudes are fully conditioned to undermine/ignore/skew the truth so that the good old narrative of "black folks being their worst enemy" is reinforced

Man, fukk that shyt.
Mugabe fukked himself up. You gotta take responsibility of your own actions at some point.
Blaming euros for your horrible actions doesn't fly. So many african revolutionaries ended up being terrible dictators :stopitslime:

Of course, ignore/minimize/distort the repercussions of euro/asian involvement in the destabilization of African nations. Lumumba brought the assassination on himself, he should've taken responsibility. Matter of fact, all African nation leaders should just be pawns for the euros and asians, this way they are being responsible by being allowed to succeed

We're talking about Mugabe here and the countless of other revolutionaries who became drunk with power after "liberating" their people. Africa is full of them, from Idi Amin to Mugabe and Bokassa, Bongo, Sassou-Nguesso, Museveni, Al-Bashir, Zenawi, Nguema, Ahidjo, Biya, Compaore (what a disappointment!), Mengistu Haile Maryam, etc etc etc
Nothing tells us that Lumumba would've bucked that trend.:stopitslime:

They took over from and inherited authoritarian systems. Most liberation militias were also authoritarian top down structures because they were fighting wars. Not exactly a good foundation for democratic politics.

Also a lot of the guys you've listed weren't "liberators" but came to power through coups( Bashir, Compaore, Bokassa, Amin, Mengistu)

after watching Lumumba movie about 5 times I tried gettin my bytch to watch it but she kept ducking. she doesn't like any grime movies. or movies portraying white ppL as evil. but i eventually cornered her.
she closed her eyes at the scene when they killed Lumumba and his ppl but I rewound it so she saw it :patrice:. she cried and cried and told me she doesn't understand how the world works. but like most white ppl she doesn't understand how evil some of them are to all their benefit. how its them behind the deaths of all great black leaders like mlk and patrice and the future generation...

They were popular when they took over from either the euro colonials or terrible strongmen. Idi Amin was seen as a hero when he kicked the Brits out. Compaore ousted the murderous Sankara and people applauded :sadcam:
Tribalism remains the biggest internal problem in Africa. These countries were created arbitrarily by Euros, bringing together people who had nothing in common and asking them to be "patriotic" within artificial borders.
All these crazy wars breaking out in Africa stem from that shyt. Loyalty to your tribe is far more important than being patriotic (that applies to the political leaders too, hence the tensions).
Typically, Africans feel patriotic only when the national soccer team is playing :lolbron:
