When Bron was on that 60% streak I saw this niqqa with 3 seconds to end a quarterly half court literally shoot the ball after the clock expired to protect his fg%
YES, that's something that Lebron has done. Not just during that streak - he's done it lots of times. A lot of guys in the league do it - Durant and Battier have admitted to it, even Tim Hardaway and others used to do it back in the day. Battier said that most players think that way.
During the 1990s, I noticed a curious trend that All-Star guard Tim Hardaway seemed to be at the forefront of. No, it wasn’t his use of the crossover or inside-out dribble to dash past defenders. It was the way he treated last-second, buzzer-beating three-pointers. Not close shots at the end of a game or shot clock, but half-courters at the end of each of the first three quarters. He seemed to be purposely letting the ball go just a half-second after the buzzer went off, presumably in order to shield his shooting percentage from the one-in-100 shot he was attempting. If the shot missed, no harm all around. If it went in? Then the crowd would go nuts and he’d get a few slaps on the back, even if he wouldn’t earn three points for the scoreboard.
Here's Durant, from The Daily Thunder
“It depends on what I’m shooting from the field. First quarter if I’m 4-for-4, I let it go. Third quarter if I’m like 10-for-16, or 10-for-17, I might let it go. But if I’m like 8-for-19, I’m going to go ahead and dribble one more second and let that buzzer go off and then throw it up there. So it depends on how the game’s going.”
Kevin Durant sometimes doesn’t want to chuck heaves at the buzzer to protect his percentages, despite his coach’s wishes
"If you're a true shooter, those shots add up," [Battier] said, while making it clear that his view was also the opinion of most, if not all, NBA players. "It's not worth it (to shoot them).
Shane Battier and the buzzer-beater problem
According to Elias, a halfcourter is attempted about 27 percent of the time to finish the first, second or third quarter (it’s rare you see a heave to finish the fourth). For the season, there have been 758 games played in the NBA total, meaning roughly 205 halfcourt heaves. And total, there have been three total halfcourt or beyond makes. Three. Crunch the numbers and that means the league is shooting roughly combined 1.5 percent from halfcourt and beyond.
So it's a 1.5% shot, which means if a player gets maybe 10 shots to heave the ball in a season, he'll make maybe 1 every 8 seasons...and chances are that won't be a game where 3 points will make a difference. So while it IS stat-protecting, it is extremely unlikely that it affects winning and losing, and it definitely doesn't negatively affect the way the game is being played.
In fact, Lebron is 2-32 in heaves for his career, although he's only 0-1 since 2011.
Durant, on the other hand, is 0-6 in heaves for his career. Westbrook is 0-13.
So Lebron not trying heaves probably has literally no effect on the game whatsoever...and he's actually tried a lot more than other players have.

thunders n westbrook are irrelevent anyway
cavs, spurs, and gsw are the only teams poppin
I dunno.
Cavs have Love out, JR might as well still be out, and overall are looking like shyt.
Warriors have Durant out and are looking like shyt.
Spurs have Aldridge out and are looking up-and-down.
First time this year that I'm wondering if someone might come in here and steal this one. Don't have a clue who though.
ROBOT BOY, NOBODY GIVES A FUCC.....UR BIGGEST IDOL, LEBRON, IS THE BIGGEST STAT-PADDER OF ALL TIME. FALL BACK.
HE CANT FALL ASLEEP WITOUT NUTTING TO A LEBRON PICTURE
The imbecilic immaturity of the haters on here is something else. I post about Westbrook and all ya'all are STILL obsessed about Lebron.
LOL NOTICE HOW THE ONLY DUDE OUT OF THE ONES MENTIONED HE DIDNT TOUCH ON WAS KOBE LMAO
Yes, because I HAVE posted in threads on why I think Lebron is better than Kobe. You know what "honesty in arguments" would be Sccit?
