The MCU might have a problem they don't know about yet.

It's a useless hypothetical to make is my point considering the fact that Tobey was under contract with Sony and RDJ is/was with Marvel/Disney outside of his appearance in Homecoming, so whose to say that RDJ wouldn't get close to the same amount again especially if it's a situation where they're desperately in need of his character.
No Way Home was also a sony movie.

They both would still be working with the same company that offered the initial big contract.

The TV avenue only helps if casuals pay attention to what's going on in the story and there's no guarantee that they will or even have Disney Plus to watch those shows. It's a difference between going to theaters for a couple of hours to watch a movie and actually having the time to sit down and keep up with a TV show.
I think they’ll be fine, but I see what you mean. You mentioned keeping up with a TV show though. I don’t fukk with most of them, but these MCU shows have actually been doing a good job of not fatiguing viewers with their episode count and duration. I could see it being easy for most folks to sit down and binge them in its entirety.

Thought it was dope how they revealed two key characters within the same premiere week, through the film side (NWH) and TV side (Hawkeye). A little cool move for the fans who followed both. When you can reward viewers with moments like that, they’ll follow right along.

Also, streaming is the standard these days. I’m hard-pressed to imagine most family households not having Disney+ and even if they didn’t, it’s an easy sub and ditch after they’re done with whichever show they’re watching.

With the difference being that Tobey wasn't the lead Spiderman. Holland was.

If RDJ comes back, then he's likely going to be the main Ironman and not playing second fiddle to someone else.

Disney Plus had 118.1 million subscribers worldwide back in November and a lot of those subscribers have the service mainly for the Disney animation side of things and not Marvel. It's recently come out that the ratings for some of those Marvel TV shows on that service weren't pretty, so they're already off on a bad start of this TV universe.

Doubt it this too, they are already planning a new ironman with Iron Heart. He probably would be playing second fiddle to someone else, although likely would steal the film like andrew garfield low key did.

That's assuming that they both appear in the same film. Shuri would more than likely be her mentor more than Tony Stark. Also don't discount how top billing works in Hollywood and the pull certain actors have to get it even if they aren't technically the lead in the film.

Can’t really attribute a crowd of subscribers to a specific section with a number that big.

Marvel has built their brand up as well as the other hubs on there.

It’s pretty clear that Dr. Strange is the new MCU leader since he is pivotal to the next phase and Cumberbatch is the biggest A-list name they have.
if thats the case, they should make the new team the Defenders. (Not the netflix version) The comicbook version. They still have Hulk in the MCU.

Iron man was never no B/C list character so stop. We just never saw him in the movies before but I grew up watching Iron Man cartoons :childplease: Iron Man was always a sleeping giant. You act like Feige can just grab anyone like Moon Knight and make him carry the flag
Nah, he's right. Before the MCU, Marvel's most popular characters were Spider-Man, X-Men, the Fantastic Four, and the Hulk.

Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America were B or C list superheroes. The other Marvel characters were C-list and below.

yall need to stop assuming everything will converge into another "Endgame". I believe they will branch into multiple different theme overarching storylines. Cosmic, Multiverse, Mystic/Horror, and Street/Earth. I know in another thread somebody said Doom could be the next MegaVillain to cover all this, but I don't think they're going there at least not yet. They already set up Kang as possibly the multiversal big boss. They've already set up Celestials as cosmic big bosses. I think they'll set up Mephisto as the Horror/Mystic big boss, and Valentina is already lowkey assembling the Dark Avengers. To me, they are clearly setting up where they are going.

They all were B or C list before they had a hit film. Hulk had low budget live action tv shows before taking off in movies. Spiderman had low budget live action tv shows nobody watch before taking off in movies.
Cap had low budget live action movies before big budget movies took him to another level. FF4 had unreleased movies nobody even saw before taking off in big budget films. Iron Man and Thor did the same thing.
They're all A list now because of Sony, Fox, and Disney. it's mostly just the studio they went to that determined which one popped off first.
