the way I see it is this. Serena Williams is the greatest female tennis player ever, whenever she loses I never look at the opponent and say they must be an all time great too. Even someone brought up the Patriots going 18-1, still nobody considers the Giants an all time great team for beating them :yeshrug:

End of the day there's championship teams and teams that have won championships, you got to go back to back to distinguish yourself and neither has done it yet. Still GS is an all time great team.

They said the Cavs were done because this just meant more of that death lineup and more 3s being chucked up that were definitely all gonna keep going in until it was over. :mjlol:

Switched up quick once they lost
You know what's funny, is I had absolutely no fukking faith in the Cavs after game 4 none what so fukking ever and being a miami fan was ready to jump on the 2-5 jokes and here we are them nikkas is Champs and brehs on here talking bout how GS is an ATG bc they were a few possession away. You just can't make this shyt up:mjlol:

Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
That's the thing tho I see nikkas in this thread trying to discredit what the Cavs just did like it was a fluke...like its something that's been done before.

Even after they won the title people were still discrediting the East :dead:

The Hawks & Pistons were better early round opponents than the Blazers & Rockets, shyt made no sense.

A Buckeye State Of Mind
I don't see how that's relevant to my post. The Cavs won under those circumstances and this board crowned them. If the Warriors won under those circumstances this board would say how the league is rigged and how they were lucky because of the Cavs' injuries.
:dwillhuh: How is my response not relevant? The board would've clowned Bron and crowned curry just like last year with no kyrie, love, and a severely injured Iman. The only thing that matters is scoreboard. I could pull up all kinds of quotes on me saying no asterisk was needed and that the dubs can only beat who they play.

You've doubted the Warriors for the last two seasons and they've continued to prove you wrong. Even when you kept moving the goalposts.
Are you hoping that if you repeat this enough it'll come true?

When the Warriors beat weak and injured teams last year, then won a bunch of reg season games this year, I maintained that things would be different once they played healthy contenders in the playoffs. Take a look at the OKC and Cavs series and things certainly were different, werent they?

might want to read that again.

championship teams go back to back, teams that have won championships dont. being a single season all time great team has no relation to that.
So which season were the Warriors all time great? The year that they had to come back from a 1-2 hole to beat a depleted Cavs team, missing 2 key players including their second option?

It's almost the same circumstances:heh:
Except it's not. Did you not read my post properly?

The Cavs won under those circumstances and this board crowned them. If the Warriors won under those circumstances this board would say how the league is rigged and how they were lucky because of the Cavs' injuries.

That is not "almost the same" at all. Dudes were already saying that the Warriors were only going to win G7 if the refs were in their back pocket. They already had their "excuses" ready to go if the Warriors did win. There's a portion of posters on this board who were never going to give the Warriors their dues, no matter what happened.

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
And on the thread topic....This season the Warriors were an all time great regular season team with a player that deserved to be a unanimous MVP....that's where it stops.

Cavs were a work in progress until after the Heat game when LeBron was mucking it up with Wade while the Cavs were getting blown out.

Kyrie wasn't right physically until the end of the season and Lue got the chemistry right.

They clicked when it mattered.

Neither are great all time teams for a full season.
